This has to be armadillo **** surely?
Even Mike wouldn't dare ask for that price.... unless he's using the Carroll value calculator.
I'd say his current value is £6m tops.

Newcastle will demand a £10million money-back deal to part with Papiss Cisse in next month’s transfer window.

The Magpies paid £9.5m for the Senegal striker when he moved from German side Freiburg almost two years ago.

Out-of-sorts Cisse, 28, has suffered a startling decline in form after making a blistering start to his Toon career.

The club’s famous No 9 shirt proved a perfect fit as he hit 13 goals in his first 12 appearances.

But he only managed the same return in the whole of last season and has netted just once this term – in the Capital One Cup against Leeds.

Cisse’s future was in doubt this summer when he initially refused to wear Newcastle’s Wonga-sponsored kit on religious grounds .

France star Loic Remy, signed on a season’s loan from QPR, has since taken Cisse’s mantle as the Geordies’ striking talisman.

But Newcastle, aware that Remy has responded coolly to talk of a permanent move, are assessing other targets – and cashing in on Cisse is an option.

Russian sides Rubin Kazan and Anzhi Makhachkala were linked to Cisse this summer and German giants Borussia Dortmund were also credited with an interest.

Borussia Monchengladbach striker Luuk de Jong is still being monitored by Newcastle, who failed to land the Dutch international before he quit FC Twente in a £12m deal around 18 months ago.

De Jong, 23, is out of favour at Borussia and could be available on loan, with Stoke also interested.

And Newcastle have checked on Olympiakos’ £7m-rated Konstantinos Mitroglou, although the prolific Greece striker, 25, has now extended his contract to June 2017.

We'd be lucky if anyone took him for 10 quid, never mind 10 million...

10m? <laugh> Good luck with that. His value simply cannot have risen. They reckon we only paid 7.5m-8.5m.

I have to say we'd be far better off with the likes of Rhodes, Ings, Assombalonga etc. Cisse is in a Torres type situ here now.

Obviously we are linked with the likes of De Jong, Mitroglou and they would be terrific signings but I'm not sure the latter could happen. Straight swap for De Jong? His record in Germany might tempt them.

We'll be very fortunate to get £5m. He's been dire this season.

I could see one of the teams near the bottom who are desperate for goals taking a gamble on him for something in the 8-10m category.

If he hits the form of season before last it would be a snip for someone.
