Watch the Joey Barton sending off for QPR v Leicester; he called it “most ridiculous red card ever” Saturday, December 21st, 2013 Feeds: Joey Barton QPR http://youtu.be/mdy9-c9hii4 3 0Comments QPR suffered a seriously frustrating defeat at home to Leicester in the early Championship game on Saturday. Harry Redknapp’s side could have gone six points clear of third place in the Championship which is significant as there would have been day light between the top two automatic promotion spots in England’s second division. A 41st minute Jamie Vardy goal was the difference between the two sides and late on there was controversy involving non other than everyone’s favourite midfielder Joey Barton. On 83 minutes, Barton was booked for an elbow on Gary Taylor-Fletcher. Seconds later, after some back chat to referee Paul Tierney, Barton received his second yellow card. See the Joey Barton sending off on the official highlights provided by Leicester’s official YouTube channel at 1:00 on the clip below. Barton almost immediately went on to Twitter to explain the red card, see the Tweets above…
Cheers Kiwi, thats saved me the bother of waiting for the Football League Show. Shocking goal to concede, though the finish was good. As you may expect, no sympathy for Barton, silly foul and obviously verbals/attitude after.
Hes a moron, yes the ref was an idiot to send him off for that but Barton gave him the chance to do it. Dont be a dick and dont throw the ball at the player.
Barton looked guilty of being a Pratt to me . He was all over that ref all game It was bound to happen as The foxes contained him and he looked shaded to me
it was from their site, so they couldnt show that as it would make out they were lucky, they didnt have any other chances so had to make up the time with Barton.
Yup, becoming less concerned but worried about Derby, theyve gained 10 points on us since SM took over. We are going to have to do better than one of Derby or Leicester to go up.
