And if some of the recent managerial changes are weird, this beggars belief, "Cardiff City manager Malky Mackay has been told by owner Vincent Tan to resign or he will be sacked." Link to the full story: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/25457024 Mind you this video clip after the Cardiff v Man City game says it all about the relationship between the manager and the owner: Have to say I feel for their fans.
Speaking of owners and managers, the notion of a Chinese billionaire buying Roma raises interesting possibilities (and as a Yank I do wonder what The 'Stache is thinking.) http://qz.com/160709/professional-soccer-clubs-are-great-entertainment-and-terrible-investments/
Hopefully he is content to bask in the Jag-wars recent excellent run of wins and looking forward to a similar Fulham run.
Football-related, more Irons than Fulham.......I'm half-way through reading 'Arry's latest book and have been reflecting on the chapter devoted to Bobby Moore. Quite rightly, he lays into West Ham and the FA about how one of England's greatest players was treated post-retirement. Harry shoots from the hip and I have to agree with a great deal of the sentiment on this matter. Bobby graced Upton Park for many years and deserved more from the club when he was alive. His time at Fulham was at the tail of his career, but the vision was there for all to see!

If anyone's interested, When Saturday Comes have printed an article of mine in the February issue, which has just come out. It's about Fulham's reputation as attracting too many tourist fans - you might remember me canvassing opinions on the subject before Christmas. If you want to save your money and shamelessly browse in WH Smiths, it's on page 26. The mag (not necessarily my article) is well worth £3.25 of anyone's money though. The article isn't available online or I'd link to it.
I saw this post on Facebook and it dawned upon me how lucky we are to be surrounded by decent Fulham fans. This would be the equivalent of Captain dumping us if we get relegated and supporting Chelsea next season! Please don't disappoint me Captain....
I do feel a bit of sympathy for Man Utd and their fans. They've been hated for the past 25 years for being better than everyone else, and now that it looks like that golden run is coming to an end the fans of opposition clubs are giving them 25 years' worth of stick!
Poor guys are going to have to get used to Thursday nights! And they won't get the same atmosphere that we all created at The Cottage when we had them.
It's ridiculous for him to even suggest that, Chelsea could have been waiting for the Salah deal to happen before they let him go. Him giving out about Chelsea selling a good player to a direct rival is a bit rich too. Somebody should remind him about Ashley Cole, RVP, Nasri, even Toure and Adebayor.
!!!!!!!!!! Rest easy Bobby, you're more likely to see Manchester United lifting a trophy this season. Or West Ham, for that matter.
Isn't that facebook posting just pathetic. My boyhood team (who I dumped when I realised that everything they had won was actually in the past and they weren't looking like winning anything soon) are now looking like they might actually win something so I will go back to supporting them as the lot I've attached myself to for the last 15 years might only finish mid-table and I'd be a laughing stock for supporting a team like that. I support Fulham because my Grandfather & Father did and I was taken along with them and that developed my affection for them and now my son and Grandson support Fulham because I did the same with him and he is with his own son. It's a bond that comes about through family, for me, and you support the team because that's what your Grandad and Dad did and going to a match with all the noise and familiar sights and smells reminds you of them and the love you have for them, or it does me, and that's why I go and support Fulham, because it means something special to me that couldn't be replaced by all the success in the world. I don't care Fulham have never won anything much, that's not why I go. They could play in the Skrill Southern Conference and I'd still support them. And I sure all of us on here would as well.
I've seen a video which is similar with a utd fan in africa changing his loyalty to arsenal. To be fair the FB guy, changing to Liverpool makes the journey to games from Wonersh a bit shorter.
It would not be so bad if you kept it, Bidley. Berbatov was frustrating as hell, but at times the most skillful player we've seen play for FFC since we made PL status. COYW
