Lost our way second half. We missed Jonny Howson today, who would have given us a little more with the ball than Brad. Sat too deep too. We need that ref every game!!! Still, a valuable away point which was much better for us than Sunderland, keeps our unbeaten run going too. We also restricted their chances for all the possession they had second half. Not sure what voices JR were listening too in his head when he went walkabout, was superb apart from that moment though, solid! The wolf got a some minutes under his belt unscathed too, loved the chest smash, chew on that sucka! All in all not a bad day out IMO <ok>

Agreed, yellow would have sufficed. A good tough competitive game, I quite liked the way the ref tried to keep things moving. Probably gave us the benefit a couple of times when he could have played on too.

Straight red all day long for me, could have easily broken his leg going over the ball like that, dirty ****ing bastard. Actually I thought they were pretty dirty all game, as bad as anyone we've played this season. Hope they go down.

Completely forgettable game, decent performance, happy with the clean sheet and away point <ok>

Will take a point and a clean sheet. Especially after we were second best throughout the second half.
If that had been one of ours sent off for that challenge, I would have been bloody annoyed.
A yellow definitely, straight read, no way. At best it was clumsy and stupid.

A point away in the prem is always good.

    6 points clear of drop.

It did not affect the result whether it was yellow or red. We played as we normally do away from home but this time came away with the point we went for instead of the hiding we normally get. 14th in the league and 6 points clear of the bottom 3 after what could have been a difficult game. No dropping of the fluid level in my glass tonight - Supers will be pleased with me!!!

Ruddy's ability to control his box is fantastic a really limited the number of chances sunderland had shame we didn't take one of the chances we had in the first half.

Well-earned point that, and a bit of a deflater for Sunderland who need to win these games. IMO the red card was justified. It was a dangerous tackle and without any excuse in terms of the situation. <ok>

With the cheat/fix the game refs and your players going down at the slightest touch your players have the refs in the palm of your hands, and Atkinson better not come up here again and ref a match.

He wasn't exactly biased was he? Just tried to let the game flow when he could of given free kicks to either side. Oh but you should of had a pen for the handball by Bassong near the end.....

The game's football monty, it has rules about how the ball can be won legally. Your players should know that by now -- though it seems to have passed Cattermole by despite his extensive experience. Some of the others seem to have taken a leaf out of his book. <ok>

I know that you're hurting being bottom of the league and will probably be so at the season's end but come on pal, that challenge by Brown on RvW was defo a straight red. What a muppet making a 'tackle' like that <doh> And while we're on the subject of cheating, was I the only one that noticed that EVERY corner kick taken by Sunderland was way outside the triangle? Why didn't the lino spot any of 'em? Also, when was it decided that the ball hitting you squarely in the chest a la Bassong was a penalty ? I will admit though that Snodgrass is a ****ing girl's blouse and goes over far too easily and that, even as an NCFC fan really gets on my tits <ok>

How anyone can suggest that wasn't a red is beyond me. He has topped the ball and then tackled with a scissor action half way up his leg. Red card all day long.

An away point, a three match unbeaten run- all good confidence building stuff, injured players coming back. Merry Christmas everyone

Glad you said that mate because it is getting on my tits as well. He goes down easier than Katie Price and there is no need for it especially as there are many situations when it would be to our advantage if he stayed on his feet.
