It amazes me that some people will say 'Don't get excited' it's only the semi-final, we might not win'. By that logic, the only time you should actually get excited is at the final whistle of the cup final when you know you've won it.
i think its the games before the semis are the ones to be excited /concerned about tbh,im sure when the time comes fans will get in the mood but there are more pressing matters first imo
I'm excited for the semi final, the league campaign and the speculation of new faces next month. Bizarrely enough, I think it's incredibly exciting times to be a Sunderland fan right now as I am absolutely convinced Gus will lead us to safety come May. I'm buzzing for today's game as well.
I'm excited for every game, that's why I go - full of hope and expectation but often disappointed by the end of the match. That's the lot of most fans, not just us. Back to your OP, I've been excited since the second round cos we actually won and were in the hat - you've got to KEEP THE FAITH. I'm already excited for the FA Cup - we are at home against a team from a lower league so I hope to be jn the bag for the 4th round draw and we'll see what we get.Got my tickets for Carlisle yesterday and I'll be getting my tickets for the SF on Monday because, YES , it's exciting to dream and I'm excited. A nice early christmas present today will get me excited about the league as well. KTF and HAWAY THE LADS!
I'll take 3pts today and staying up over any semi final. 2 years ago Birmingham won it and got relegated.....................who remembers or cares that they won it now ? no f***** !! and today they're a million miles from getting back in the Prem.
I give up.. Manure, semi final of a cup, ffs it hardly like we've been accustomed to any kind of success. It don't get a lot bigger for a club like SAFC. Be excited, be very excited, who knows they just may do it...
Extremely excited now. In from work, on with the match day uniform and off to the SEMI-FINAL! Played in a few when I was much younger but never been to one! Sing your hearts out for the lads!
Never mind a semi, I've got the full pan handle on now. Enormous game for us and Utd tbf, well Moyes anyway and we have cracking opportunity to rescue a ****ty year in the next 180 mins v Man Utd. **** the Mancs ;-)
Just be mega excited all the time!!!! From getting up to going to bed. Look on everything with a child's amazement and skip every where. Hope this helps
My point has always been that people who believe have had since the Chelsea match to enjoy the build up and the dream of Wembley. Now we can have the joy of victory and the build up to the second leg. The pessimists will only have the thought of an Old Trafford hammering to keep them happy

Nahh, I also went on to win trophies ( local league nothing higher! ). That was awesone last night but somewhat disappointed with the turn out. I know it's post christmas, times are hard etc but ffs it's a semi final at a reasonable price. Still, those of us who were there made a fair noise ( for at least the last 30 minutes anyhow.) Well done the chanters.
