It amazes me that some people will say 'Don't get excited' it's only the semi-final, we might not win'.

By that logic, the only time you should actually get excited is at the final whistle of the cup final when you know you've won it.

I'm excited for the semi final, the league campaign and the speculation of new faces next month. Bizarrely enough, I think it's incredibly exciting times to be a Sunderland fan right now as I am absolutely convinced Gus will lead us to safety come May.

I'm buzzing for today's game as well.

I'm excited for every game, that's why I go - full of hope and expectation but often disappointed by the end of the match. That's the lot of most fans, not just us. Back to your OP, I've been excited since the second round cos we actually won and were in the hat - you've got to KEEP THE FAITH. I'm already excited for the FA Cup - we are at home against a team from a lower league so I hope to be jn the bag for the 4th round draw and we'll see what we get.Got my tickets for Carlisle yesterday and I'll be getting my tickets for the SF on Monday because, YES , it's exciting to dream and I'm excited. A nice early christmas present today will get me excited about the league as well. KTF and HAWAY THE LADS!

    I give up..

Manure, semi final of a cup, ffs it hardly like we've been accustomed to any kind of success. It don't get a lot bigger for a club like SAFC.

Be excited, be very excited, who knows they just may do it...

My point has always been that people who believe have had since the Chelsea match to enjoy the build up and the dream of Wembley.

Now we can have the joy of victory and the build up to the second leg.

The pessimists will only have the thought of an Old Trafford hammering to keep them happy <laugh>

Nahh, I also went on to win trophies ( local league nothing higher! ). :emoticon-0105-wink:

That was awesone last night but somewhat disappointed with the turn out. I know it's post christmas, times are hard etc but ffs it's a semi final at a reasonable price.

Still, those of us who were there made a fair noise ( for at least the last 30 minutes anyhow.) Well done the chanters.
