Everyone should buy junior tickets .......... the police won't have 10,000 Sunderland supporters outside at kick off!
I'm a big mouthy bastard and regularly buy junior tickets, the last was at Villa. I just give the steward no option but to let me in and I suggest we do this on a massive scale at Old Trafford. The police will usually side with you if you explain that 'your son' has gone in with the 'wrong adult ticket' and he's on his own in the ground
These are par for the course prices for prestigious games such as this for many clubs, and highlights the fact that our club offer fantastic value for money...The only pity is, is that many of our fans still don't turn up!
i would also put the Carlisle FA Cup tie in that bracket...As it stands at present, Carlisle have sold 5,500 tickets for this game and we have sold just over 3,000!
I would imagine your finance officer will inflate the prices when Hull take over the SOL in Feb. I did not go to OT last time we played there-due to rip off prices. It is all Disney fans anyway. I assumed Smugsy was a junior
My vote as 'most insane post of 2013' by a ****ing mile I was at Boothferry Park when we took 7000 for an opening season match in the 2nd division. Hull might scrape 3000 at the SOL in a 40,000 crowd ......... have Hull ever managed 40,000?
Can you believe it? A club with the gates of Hartlepool, in recent memory, commenting on our support ........ what a total ****er
I wouldn't put the Carlisle game in that bracket pal. loads of people will pick the man united game instead of the Carlisle one but I will be there for both.
good one pal. smug is spot on about Junior tickets tho. I know loads of people who have been doing for year's.
Not to seem like I'm patronising the lads on here who go to games, they can't be questioned. But when Man United see a club that sell 20k tickets for a CUP QUARTER FINAL and fail to sell-out their local derby, they're bound to cut their losses by massively inflated ticket prices. There's no incentive for Man U to drop the ticket prices as there is no reason why that will help them sell more tickets. On the flip side, Man U know they will sell out their allocation no matter what, so Sunderland can afford to drop prices with a guaranteed away sell-out. Finally, the second leg is a much more attractive proposition than the first.
If Sunderland charged teams like Man city & Chelsea the prices what we get charged down there then both clubs will not sell out. a city ticket up here is about £28 & when us go there it's close to £50. our club is a joke for letting it happen.
