Ive never missed a comeback through leaving early, I had never even missed a goal until we got 2 against MK so still have never missed a meaningful goal. I was watching a Flyers game last night and we were 3-0 down with 20 to go and not creating anything, the commentator said they had not allowed a comeback in 38 games while leading with 20 to go so I go to bed. You know what happens, I miss a 5-4 win. So whats the best comeback youve missed? I bet a few will admit to derby but did anyone leave at Port Vale or against Newcastle?
Who did we play a couple (?) of seasons back, when we were 2 down with about 10mins left ?? I left early 'cos i had a lot to do and we came back to draw the game. I heard both goals go in as I got down the road and vowed never to leave early again
I left that one as well - can't think of who it was against. At the Newcastle 5-5 game, a few of us were in the bar at half-time and decided that if Newcastle scored the next goal we would go to the pub - happily we scored.
Ouch bully boy that must be some sweet awakening when you find out the result? With QPR i havent miss a win or even late goal or so (obviously so few matches i have seen live over the years.) I did miss those two late City goals and when i found out them i was sure about our relegation. It was was really a surrealistic moment when i found out that Boltons loss...
I never leave when theres 1 or 2 goals in it. I suppose I may have left the Port Vale game because thats once in a life time, 4 in the last 5 mins. Hopefully the traffic will be sorted in the new stadium so we dont have that dilemma of trying to get out quick.

To make it worse, this was the game winner, hell of a goal. I think Cark Ikeme must have taken up hockey though. please log in to view this image
Fortunately, I wasn't one of the 50-odd people who left at half-time when we were 4-0 down away to Port Vale. That was one of the most incredible comebacks I have ever seen. Amazing.
Great goal indeed but that goalie surely cant be satisfyed with himself in that situation. Anyway last period 5-1 to flyers. Way to go ill get me cap Mind you bully boy that my local team ässät have been rubbish this season......
I think it was even more amazing that the 1st goal was in the 85th min IIRC and the last 3 were in the last minute and injury time. I dont think Ive ever seen a team score 3 last minute goals since then, 2 happens quite a lot but never 3.
Just be thankful youve seen a championship, I was 4 the last time the flyers won and didnt even know they existed then.
He could come back as an undead zombie, and lumber around the opposition's half - a bit like Devon White used to do in fact.
Derby away? We were 2-0 down and Agyemang (Yes, Agyemang) got one back, and then Mackie equalised in the last minute.
No, not that one - it was a home game. I can remember games from 40 years ago better than those from 4 years ago!
I've never left a game early so never missed one. I can't understand the leaving early thing - there's always a chance!
Port Vale 4-4. I was watching my son play & then arrived home to see that we were 4-0 down. I immediately turned the tele over but then looked back at the last minutes to see how many we had lost by. To my amazemant it was 4-3 & I'd turned back just in time to see our equalliser!
