So we were enjoying our once every 3 year trip to a west end play when the ceiling collapsed above us! We were very fortunate to be at the front of the upper circle so we were only enveloped in dust and the slightest knock to Mrs T's head which a doctor checked in the makeshift triage and she's fine. The emergency services were amazing and our prayers are with all those seriously injured.
Glad to hear you're both ok. World is going crazy, we knew someone who got killed at the Clutha in the helicopter crash two weeks ago, and now this. Thankfully no-one died this time.
My cousin was on stage and when they finished came out to the emergency services everywhere, no-one knew a thing inside the theatres nearby. Glad your ok Peruvian, been told latest count was 80 injured 4 seriously, hope they all make a speedy recovery.
'Kin 'Ell Peruvian !!! Glad you and the Mrs are ok. Could of been a whole lot worse but heard the Theatre staff were top notch and the Emergency services were fantastic. Very good to hear. Take care mate.
Hadn't heard that, been there many a time. Glad to hear you are both Ok. Did you bump into 999's http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-25459567
Glad you're both okay P. Was in the theatre next door a couple of weeks ago. Hopefully everyone will make a full recovery.
I wasn't there, but a few of my mates were. I used to be stationed at Soho Fire Station which is situated two minutes from the Apollo theatre. I'm pleased to hear that you and you wife are OK Peru. It must of been a surreal experience. The last time I went to the theatre to see 'Thriller' ( The next one along from the Apollo) with my wife and kids, she remarked that it was amazing how these old places still hold so many people without collapsing.
Glad you are both okay Peruvian...you'll just have to make it back to the UK sooner thank three years time to watch another show to make up for it...and if you happen to end up at Loftus Road on the same trip then so be it!
Just hope there are no lasting injuries. On a positive, it'll be a wake-up call for all the older theatres and concert halls.
Without getting TOO political.........after the fantastic response by our Emergency services to this and the many other potential disasters in this country, it's an absolute disgrace that the Government see fit too attack the pensions of our firefighters. I know you can't comment Nines, but had to say it. Probably wont get a chance to see ya before Xmas but hope you and yours have a good and safe one, you are all heroes in my eyes.
