    Morning Everbody,

Danny Pugh faces a late fitness test, due to a knock he picked up in training midweek. Meanwhile Drury is on the comeback trial. He completed 90 minutes in Leeds midweek victory at Coventry for the development squad. Surely, this will mean Warnock goes straight back into the starting XI.

McDermott will not be offering trialist Shaquille McDonald a deal after he played for the development squad on Wednesday.

Speaking on LUTV, McDermott said, "I have spoken to Shaq McDonald and we won`t be taking him. "He is 18-year-old and we have strikers coming through from the academy at the same age, so we won`t be taking him."

Meanwhile, 18 yo Gboly Ariyibi has made a big impression on McDermott since joining a fortnight ago, and is said to be thrusting himself into contention for a place in the first team squad. “Boly has a bit of a knock so he didn’t play in the Development Squad this week,” said manager Brian McDermott. “He’s touch and go for the weekend, but he is knocking on the door of the first team squad.”

Ofcom, the regulatory authority for communications, have made a ruling against Ken Bates and Football League Chairman Shaun Harvey for “unjust and unfair” broadcasts that amounted to “harassment” of former club director Melvyn Levi, according to Ofcom.

Harvey, then LUFC Chief Executive pressed for broadcasts that were authorized by Bates to urge Leeds supporters to look for Levi and contact the station.

This, Ofcom ruled, was harassment. And in the ruling, the regulatory authority stated, “The fact that Yorkshire Radio deemed it acceptable at the time was of great concern.”

Morning all. Only thing that interests me today is us having a side capable of beating Barnsley comfortably by half time so that Ross and a couple of others can put their feet up and enjoy a bit of a break before we take on stronger opposition after Cliffmas. Trouble is, Leeds being Leeds, we'll probably leave it until the 4th minute of injury time to get an iffy penalty and scrape home 1-0.

    Merry Cliffmas

Morning all. Get greedy now Boggers. Not happy just winning but looking for big wins eh. Good point though in fairness. Glad we didn't keep McDonald. Don't think we need trouble at the youth academy as everyone seems in high spirits. Wonder will Hunt be fit enough to take any part overt the xmas. I see over 30k expected for tomorrows game. How things are a changing and all for the better

Getting sick of playing teams who have a new manager, so lets hope we do the same to Wilson as we did to the fruit cake at Midds <ok> Didn't we have this against BlackburnVenky Utd?

So the young kid wasn't as good as people thought, but at least we gave him a go and we have Dom and co who are the same age and probably better. Morning all by the way and lets hope Santa brings Brian an expensive player or 2

I hope Hunt gets a go over the Cliffmas period. Will be interesting to see how he goes in this new formation.

On McDonald, if he's no bettr than Academy players coming through, so be it. No point in keeping him.

Question of the day has got to be about Malky and Tan. How the fook do people like this fool and others get to buy a football club? Why do they get past the fit and proper rules when they are clearly clowns. Now Bardiff are not my favourite club but when does an owner like Tan get off telling the manager to fook off or get sacked.

How would we deal with it, would we be so angry that we all decided to actually boycott a home game? This clown needs hurting in the pockets because they clearly have no neck and dont get embarrased about what people think of them. Makay's not my type of manager but he got Bardiff promoted in his first attempt after around 6-seasons of close but no prizes under Jones. They are not even in the relegation dog fight yet

Agreed but no we wouldn't boycott. We had a worse owner. At least tan is up front. Our previous yoke was underhand to the hundredth degree and yet people were criticised for even protesting against him. Malky will probably get a nice payoff and an enhanced reputation if they sack him.

That's easy Doc. Tan maybe a prat, but he's a wealthy prat who acquired his money is an honest fashion. If I were Malky Mackay, I'd walk and tell the owners what they can do with their club. One thing's for sure, he wouldn't be out of work for long.... & he might be able to pinch many of their better players in the TW.

    Morning all <ok>

Getting on to doing the match thread at the minute so will be up in about an hour for your enjoyment. I can't believe Tan to be honest, he's got a decent manager there and I assume he has another one of his no experience lackeys lined up to step in. Otherwise no one is going to touch that job with a barge pole. (Is Alex McLeish still out of work? <laugh>)

Anyone think the Football League are starting to realise why we are all so shocked when they appointed Harvey now?

On a side note, I get slightly uneasy now every time a pl manager is sacked. If our lad keeps make the progress he has been, its only a matter of time before he appears high on the list off favourites for these jobs. Sooner we get to the pl the better. I believe once we get there, no club will be able to lure McD away

Don't think BMD will leave us for anyone in the bottom half of the PL, as we could conceivably be playing them next season in the Championship. As such, why would he leave us? More to the point, anyone in the top half of the PL is unlikely to go for anyone in the Championship when they've got all these foreign managers only too happy to come over and try their luck. On the Spurs job, I think it might be too big for BMD for now. In a few years time, different story.

McDermotts prem record isnt great so it would be a hell of a risk bringing him in for a dog fight. He's the man for us though without a doubt <cheers>

I agree with Bucks but its a good question though. The way I look at a manager is by his results and what he does and says. BMD got off to a flyer with me, had a big wabble and then worked out a new formula that suited this team/squad, even though its not the set up he likes. So hes adaptable as well as tactically astute. Did great with Reading and was offloaded unfairly in my view, due to a new Russian owner. However is BMD as good as Steve Maclaren. Everyone raved about young Clough and he seemed to be doing ok with the squad he had, but Derby offed him and ever since the team have been flying. So the brolley man is obviously doing something right and did a great job in Holland first time around. I believe Derby have a couple of decent players like Will Hughes, but I would back our players against theirs. Yet he gets a lot more out of his team that BMD can do with ours? or am I being unfair

He won't walk because he'll lose out on £3M severance payment. Tan obviously doesn't want to pay this so he's doing all he can to undermine his manager by releasing snippets in the press.

Apparently Ollie Gunnar Soldsjaer is lined up to be next Cardiff manager

Mackay really doesn't have toworry about severance pay other than it being a normal entitlement. As soon as he becomes a free agent, there will be plenty of clubs, possibly Spurs included, who will be more than happy to offer him a job.
