Ain't no Army prisons anymore, there's Colchester but it's more minimum security than an open prison and is for soldiers transferring to civvie prisons (usually low risk offenders, high risk are remanded immediately in civilian detention) and those been rehabilitated to either be discharged from service (taught basic plumbing, electrical ect skills) or be returned to unit (re-taught basic military skills). Place is more like an Army training regiment than a prison.

Life in a civvie jail will be hard enough. Around 10% of the prison population is ex-military. Plus most prisoners have some sense of decency and will be disgusted by the pair's crimes like anyone on the outside. Reckon they'll be seriously assaulted within the first month.

 

The pair are converts. Their families are Christian. Any references to religion or race ruins any anti-immigration argument you have (which i'm likely to agree with).

 

Or, feed them to the pigs.......

Everyone's actions are based on their beliefs. These two took an extreme course and have been found guilty. No other option.

But those two don't seem to be the only extremist bigots on this thread. Maybe some of you are members of EDL, BNP or even the amazing Liberty GB.

 

Extremists of any group tends to behave in ways that are offensive to society as a whole. To punish members of a group at large for the actions of the few extremists is never a good idea. Right?

 

I also expect there's higher incidence of racism in prison, so they'll get more than their fair share for being "dirty rag heads"

 

If they received the death penalty then they will see themselves as heroes in their culture so let them rot in jail.

Morning all. What I'd love to have heard would have been the MCB reminding everyone that these two weren't acting in the name of Allah, as Islam is a peaceful religion. Trouble is, some of our media wouldn't have given them the publicity that such comments would have deserved. Pity really.

 

Although my avatar pic may suggest other wise, I'm not a member or ever have been a member of any right wing group. I don't preach hate and I don't attack people because of their colour or beliefs. It does annoy me though, that if you show any pride in being White, you're deemed a bigot or racist.

 

Apart from a Leeds United White, I dont get the pride in being a certain. Be proud to be Irish, etc., because that has meaning. What meaning is the color of one's skin?
