It sounds to me like that is what the players have been told to say. Its a stock anwser to me. Call me a cynic but I dont think you can trust them to tell you their true feelings while they are getting pay checks from the Allams.
Funnily I can remember being upset when they changed the name - snickers sounds sneaky somehow.........
Your right. Snickers remained snickers in the US (the home market) throughout the time they were sold in the UK as Marathon. Once Mars had enough confidence in selling their product in the UK, a foreign market, they reverted back to its true name. A bit like Hull City remaining Hull City in the UK and being promoted as The Tigers or Hull Tigers in Asia.
Why would the players mind the name change? They will still be expected to work as they already do and they will continue to be paid, as they already are. There will be NO no difference for the players bar the company name on their payslip.
Lets be honest if footballers are getting paid a lot of money and there still getting the money why would they care?
Yeah, we've already been over that. They are currently paid by Hull City Tigers Ltd, and still would be if the "Playing Name" changed. Apparently.
