.... is there something decidedly different about this transfer window?

I mean... not just from a Toon perspective (i.e. we actually have hope we may finally spend some cash) but all round really (some elements I've jotted below):

    1. Even more crazier prices than normal being paid
    2. English players being the star turn
    3. More half decent free transfers
    4. Bin dippers coming to the party
    5. clubs looking to do their business even earlier than normal

Now obviously there are a few things that are similar to normal such as the unwashed being linked to a load of crap signings etc..... but I reckon that this summer will see the biggest ever total outlay in spends by a country mile.

I don't know if a lot of this is to do with the FIFA fairplay rules set to come in shortly or what?

Has anyone else go the feeling we are going to be in for a rollercoaster of a summer?

THe reason is that everyone has got their Sky money and also I think this is the last season before the fair play thing comes in were they have to balance their books.

everybody wants to gain 2) but of course they dont want to end up in a bidding war so 5) happens, in aid to hopefully avoid 1) in the case of said bidding war, most likely by the likes of 4), who seem to want to pay over the odds for any soppy **** these days.
