Fouling Suarez to become legal THE FA has confirmed that as of 7pm last night, kicking Luis Suarez is no longer a punishable offence. The nibbly striker has been the cause of several bookings this season after players have kicked him, including yesterdayâs red card against Paulinho, which many supporters feel is against the spirit of the game. FA spokesman Tom Logan said: âWeâll keep it to just kicking him as hard as anyone likes for now but if he doesnât get the picture then weâll legalise biting him a bit as well.â The Uruguayan will appeal against the FAâs ruling later this week but their lawyers have defended the decision on the basis they made it as a friendly, conciliatory gesture. The FA will also send Suarez a basket of apples with a note asking how he likes them. Similar previous measures have been used by the FA, such as the now-defunct 2002 ruling that required all references to Robbie Savage, both on and off the pitch, to be prefaced with the phrase âthat arseholeâ. Match of the Day has supported the move, with the show launching a âHoofing Suarez in the nuts of the monthâ competition. Merry Xmas everyone.... GKRK
Even as a reds fan who would like to keep Suarez safe from danger... ... I have to admit that Paulino did a pretty cool karate kick. With him in their team Spurs needn't worry about zombie attacks.
I think the FA need to go one further. All defenders should be allowed to "bear arms" just in case the rabid dog attacks... they can tell "it's comgin right for us" and open fire whenever. That should level the playing field at least a bit for the poor dears. JOhn terry you have been warned you are far too old and slow so please make sure your ref is well bribed to look the other way when you do have to foul persistently to stop him.
Its ridiculous at this point... we need a friendly.. well paid journo to show this on tv and villify some refs... My issue today was that not one occasion did LFC captain (agger) nor skertl nor lucas as our supposedly senior players go surround that ref and berate him. he was obviously one for influencing and we see other sides do it constantly and benefit. suarez had 3 separate kics and not one gave the ref verbals and they left it to the man himself... total lack of leadership i find... at least carragher did it.. gerrard sometimes.. we need to abuse refs far more.
Did Rodgers mention it in the after match interview? He should, compile a dossier and present it at the the next pre-match conference he does. Simply show, then say no action was taken against player "X"..
