Feel its time to bring Ki back home now. He's playing really well at Sunderland at the moment and scored the winner against Chelsea last night. Surely his return would have a positive effect on the team. Always rated him personally, and didn't agree with the decision to send him out on loan. We have the option to bring him back in January lets use it!

Sunderland want to buy him so wouldn't be surprised if hes sold in Jan to fund some new players.

Will be gutted if he goes - not as much as my teenage daughter though :)

Well I suppose most of us are a little upset when our kids leave home.

<sorry> stid couldn't resist - that was the way I read it first time.

Most of us have been saying this about Ki for some time but his best position is as an AM and he'll never get look in imo.

Just because he scores one goal doesn't make him better than midfielders we have here already.

He's not good enough to make Sunderland's first team (he was a substitute). If he can't get a starting place in a team at the bottom of the league why should he be considered good enough for a top ten team?

Fabio Borini also score from the bench. Should he come back too?

We need to look for better players.

"He's not good enough to make Sunderland's first team (he was a substitute)"

It was a cup game. Ki is normally in the PL starting 11 for them.

Said elsewhere that the competition for AM places is too great here and I'm not convinced that Ki is as effective anywhere else. Our loss will be someone else's gain. His goal will keep his value buouyant anyway. :)

Comes down to Ki v JDG I suppose and regardless of the arguments we know who the Manager prefers.

Just need Laudrup to admit he may be wrong about preferring JdG all the time.......

    Is he though?

I really like Ki and didn't want him to go but JDG scored quite a few goals for us last season whilst Ki hardly managed a shot, though I have to accept he was usually played out of position in a more withdrawn role. Ki gives us more options off the bench but he wants guaranteed first team football with the World Cup coming up and I don't think Laudrup could guarantee that. It's unfortunate for him that we are pretty strong in midfield.
