Doesn't seem to have a footballing brain and In midfield creates limited options because he dont just look up to see whats on makes alot of wrong choices
He did a great job five or six years ago, but now well past his "Best before date". Add Gillette Harewood and Shorey to the list. And I have serious doubts about Moloney and Wagstaff.
He is no where near the player he was but there are a some around him that are a lot worse, shows what a shambles we are as a team..
Elliot our weak link??? - What Wiz said and ...... .......The weak link is Cotterill. Only total idiots can't see how wrong we were set up. To compound his mistake he played our best player out of position. Daft beyond words are anyone who thinks differently.
Moloney is safe mate, Harewood hasn't had a chance, I would like to see him start a game with Baldock. The next team sheet that comes out I don't want to see Wagstaffs name on it.
You Plank everyone can see Elliott is the weak link, take your head out of the sand. We've been complaining for years about teams just walking through the midfield and Saturdays showed. Who's the constant in our midfield? Sure he dives in every now and again and sometimes gets lucky. It sure ain't skill he's got his eyes closed most of the time. And you call us idiots And too think you rated him higher than Cisse, you know the one we missed when he wasn't here no more.
Blimey RP, give the man a break, one game and he's already the weakest link, give the bloke a chance to have a good look at his players, you and i know he has a job and half with what he's inherited. By the way, the EP made your favorite Simon Gillett man of the match, another idiot joins the throng.
AD - 'Blimey RP, give the man a break' - Where have I heard this before ? Posted 12/8/13 'Dont start getting on SOD's case just yet RP. Its early even by your standards. Lets at least give him until October - anything else is just dumb' (Rickster - I won't tell them it was you.) AD - I really get tired having to explain the finer details of football on here. Still, I feel it's a calling, someone has to take pity on them. Most on here have never played so if I don't educate them they will stay Planks forever. 'another idiot joins the throng' - Spot on AD.
Marvin Elliott has 218 appearances for Bristol City and has been at the club for 6 years. Yes, as Wiz said he's not the player he was, but can we treat the guy with a bit of respect - he gives 100% for our club. For me what Cotterill said about Marv at Tamworth was spot on - he no longer has the legs to be the box-to-box player he was, and sat in front of the back 4 is a better position. I can't believe some on here are having a pop at Cotterill after ONE defeat - give the poor bloke a chance!!
Elliott was in his first season with us outstanding and one of the best in the league as was the engine in our midfield but the years have taken its toll and he cant go a few months without getting injured so you would have to question whether trying to play both domestic and international football at teh same time is the best thing for him as many greater players have retired from international football once their legs start to go. I think looking at the last game, yes you could argue JET was at fault for originally losing the ball but I think it was their second goal their player just ran past Elliott with the ball and was gone. a few years ago that wouldnt have happened. Also I am not the biggest fan of Pack (as a replacement). I know many rate him but from the games I have seen him I am not convinced. Would rather see Wynter given more game time who reminds me slightly of how Elliott used to be build wise
Cheers RP ! Still reckon October is early by manager sacking standards, but we could see the way it was going in the end. Lets hope Cotterill can affect a change in our fortunes. Otherwise we will be back to Bristol derbies again
'Otherwise we will be back to Bristol derbies again' August 2015 - In the Conference. OMG I hope not. Anyone, let alone Cotterill who set us up as he did last Saturday is screwed. Totally. Yeh, I know it's Victor again but on that one idiot's set up last w/e shows me he's mad. It was such a stupid decision that told me we've had it. Like last August about SOD - his 2mph Possession Game and picking Kilkenny. That was mental with our lot. If you're daft and those 2 clowns are - You don't change when you're 50 years old - you remain daft forever. Rickster - may the Lord help us.
ADicks - ' i predicted 14th after 20 games, so thats a positive, what did you predict' Redprintt - 'I predicted 21st after 20 games, so that's a positive as well' Surprise surprise R/P looks like the most accurate of all posters again. Wiz, that's 2 out of 2 - do I get an award ? (Cue RODney) If you're doing another after 30 games - I predict 23rd.
