    Part Ex for Remy anyone?

Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp wants to boost his side's promotion chances with the loan signing of Newcastle United defender Steven Taylor.

Rangers tried to sign the 27-year-old centre back as part of the season-long deal that took Loic Remy to St James' Park from the Hoops in the summer.

The Magpies were not willing to let him go at that stage, but The Mirror reports that Redknapp is hoping that they will reconsider in January considering Taylor's recent lack of first-team football.

The former England Under-21 international was sent off in his only Premier League appearance this term, Newcastle's 4-0 drubbing at the hands of Manchester City on the opening day of the season.

Since recovering from injury over a month ago, Taylor has failed to feature for Alan Pardew's side, and Championship leaders QPR reportedly want to loan him for the second half of the campaign.

Taylor's agent has recently admitted that his client may be forced to leave Tyneside when the transfer window reopens, if he does not return to his position as a regular starter.

As long as he is replaced then it would be a good move.
I love his passion however he is always injuried are suspended and has never been able to reach his forecasted potential.
I thought the potential deal from remy had already been agreed and its more about what the player decides to do

Agree with 2010, as long as he is replaced. Prefer to keep him though as he is a good option. We finally have some depth to the centre back ranks. His injuries and rash decision making does make him far from indispensible though.

If we can get Colo or Iron Mike to knock one out quickly with the tea lady then I'd let Taylor go this January.

Sounds more like a job for you than Colo or Iron Mike.

If its a loan then QPR pay his wage like we are doing with Remy if its a sale then add Cisse Ober and Gos maybe even Marv and replace with quality Ince ( more likely Zaha on loan ) buy Remy and Gomis not sure about another CH to be honest. Squad is stronger if a small tad lighter.

If you make sensible remarks I'll agree with you. If you make leud or inappropriate remarks, I'll more than likely laugh. If you post nasty things about Alan, I'll hunt you down and torture you.

    I am a very straightforward character. ;)

On this occasion I think it was sensible.

Bloody hell, now that's a cement worthy of using as a signature. Mind you, that's the way we feel about Sir Les as! :)

I'd be happy to have him on loan with an option to buy if we go up., although in Nedum gets fit I think we've got a decent bit of depth at CB.

I'm not sure that Remy'll end up a Newcastle player come next summer, although sadly I don't think he'll be back in Hoops either. Whoever signs him will be getting a bargin for around £8 million, that's for sure.
