From AN's 'Things We Think We Think #126: 5b: One area that Malcolm Clarke outlined in which weâve perhaps not been as active as possible is with our local FA, the East Riding County FA. They will play a role in deciding, and all of their contact details can be found here. http://www.eastridingfa.com/contactus
Thank you for your e-mail. The East Riding County FA are not part of the decision making process This matter rests solely in the hands of The Football Association and they are responsible for conducting research, gauging opinions and making a final recommendation. The FA’s statement did indicate that fans will be consulted We have been advised locally to pass on any queries of this nature through to The FA. Please contact [email protected]
Neither can I. The Allams were backed into a corner and had to act quickly. Posters were congratulating themselves on blocking the name change by someone in Newbold already registering the name 'Hull Tigers', they just had to head them off at the pass. http://www.hullcitytigers.com/news/article/201314-club-statement-name-request-1231934.aspx
It's got **** all to do with anyone in Newbald, Tenfoot Tiger on CI registered a club as Hull Tigers with the East Riding FA.
OLM - sorry if I appear to be rather thick when it comes to registering/setting up a club, but doesn't the name have to be registered with the national FA as well and sorry if this has been mentioned elsewhere on one of the numerous threads discussing the name change (not a criticism) but who are the other stakeholders that will be consulted?
When you create a team, it has to be registered with the local FA in the league where the team will be playing. There can't be too teams with the same name, hence Tenfoot's attempt to pre-register a team called Hull Tigers. The vote will be conducted by the FA council, which comprises the FA suits, along with the regional FA's and organisations like Supporters Direct and the FSF(I believe there's 92 on the council). We don't yet know exactly what form the supporter consultation will take, we're trying to clarify that with the FA.
I reckon they will commission the FSF to "consult" with fans, which will mean bugger all in the grand scheme of things.
