I don't think anyone's denying that, but to say the club wouldn't exist without him is just speculation. More likely is that we would have gone into admin, had a points deduction and eventually sold by the administrators. Very few clubs of this size 'cease to exist' in these circumstances.
You really believe that? How many times did Portsmouth have '1 day to go' and then were suddenly granted more time.
and look at them now..... http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/Hull...ship-sacking/story-20331429-detail/story.html I think we've done a lot better.....
I don't deny we're in a better position, that wasn't the point. The fact is they still exist, which according to some we wouldn't had the Allams not stepped in.
Thanks for saving the club Mr Allam, however 3 years later your mask has slipped and we can all see what a spiteful man you are. Let's hope there is a smooth changeover so that we don't see a 4th anniversary. No offence, but you've made the place stink.
Pearson said: “The club is in a great position. What has happened at Hull has to be unique, certainly for a Championship club. For the owners to pump in so much money is just unbelievable. “They undoubtedly saved the club from what would have been liquidation. It couldn’t have been administration because there was nothing to administer. “The club had no assets and no playing assets. In fact, if anything the club had liabilities in terms of the personnel. “I still don’t think, even now, that people appreciate just what the owners have done for Hull City. “To put in £50m to a Championship club is something that just doesn’t happen, especially when the money cannot be considered to be a commercial investment.” Pearson added: “We still have four Premier League player contracts on the books and it is only when they finish in 18 months that we can get the wage bill down to a manageable level. “I still can’t get my head round the club spending or committing themselves to £150m in an 18-month period when its income was only £100m, especially considering the quality of player that was brought in.” http://www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/spor...ent-of-keeping-key-men-despite-loss-1-4131692 People just like to forget what **** we were actually in. Not administration. Liquidation and thats from golden bollocks Adam Pearson.
The point still stands, many other clubs have been on the verge of liquidation and been saved, in all likelihood Hull City would still exist today even without the Allams intervention, we'd almost certainly be worse off but we would still exist. You seem to be missing the point, I'm not denying we we're in the **** or that Allam saved us, I was taking exception to the post that said 'Hull City AFC,The Tigers, would have ceased to exist' because that's complete speculation.
and the fact that someone else would have brought us with 1 day left is speculation, Allam did. Can anyone name any fans of the club who would have had the money to buy the club and invest in it - or would it have gone to someone who can't even point out Hull on a map (and they would have been far worse than the current owner)
He saved us. Yes. But why is it ok to be a **** now? Why is it wrong to question or plain disagree with him? Same old arguments that have been going on for months which wouldn't be there if he hadn't had this **** idea.
SAVED CLUB, BROUGHT IN SB, FINANCED PROMOTION, FINANCED CURRENT TEAM > NAME CHANGE Thanks Mr Allam for dragging the club from the edge of the abyss and giving us some of the best times in our history.
It wouldn't have been 1 day though, it never is, how many football clubs have been liquidated and cease to exist after been shut down at the first deadline? Appeals and extensions are practically a given these days, why would the club fold without appealing for an extension to try and find a buyer?
so suitedandbooted do I assume that if Allam put the club on the market this person would buy the club and change the name back (if the FA has approved it) and keep us in the top flight
I would suspect that the extra debt we now have will mean we're in a different ball park from any previous potential investors.
so maybe this person should have brought the club before Allam did - of course only suitedandbooted knows who it is and therefore any possible reasons why he didn't buy it 3 years ago (not digging as I know those reasons would not be allowed to be discussed on a forum where the name could be guessed at if any reason was given)
Who would have thought Muslamic Ray Gun would have inside knowledge about the secret business dealings at the club? Just to confirm - You're full of ****.
