It looks like Paulinho was sent off for violent conduct (3 matches) rather than serious foul play (1 match suspension) which he might have got away with.

No word on Wilshire's 1 game ban and £20k fine so far...

Liverpool are currently 4th in the Fair Play league, behind Cardiff, Norwich and Palace, showing how we are playing with #class and #skill.

Man Utd are 17th in Fair Play under Moyes, even with Rooney escaping bans practically every week.

Certainly dangerous play, but not sure it was violent conduct, even though his leg moved into Suarez i think he was just trying to move it out of the way of the oncoming striker.

If he had withdrawn his football normally, or not moved it I think he would have got a yellow but you can clearly see as Suarez goes past he bends his foot back at a very unnatural angle which is what catches him.

This is what makes me think there was intent.

Agree with you, he was determined to make contact and when it looked like his studs weren't gonna hit Suarez in the ribs full on he angled his foot to make sure it did, deffo intent and deffo a red.

Actually think he tried to move his leg out the way but actually ended up moving it into Suarez, then it was dragged round by Suarez's momentum which made it look intentional. Think it deserves 1 game, 3 is harsh, seen worse not punished!

Was Phil Dowd trying to suck up to the B/s crowd on that occasion too?

That's absolutely terrible judgment from the FA, they can't deny they've been biased against Suarez.

Think all he can do is bide his time and then rip the whole English FA to bits mentioning the points you raised, but by then hell be living and playing in Spain.

I've not agreed with any of the moaning about the harsh treatment of Suarez etc. etc

However, even I can't believe that the FA have applied such double standards here, when they surely must have known that the comparison would be made to their 1 match ban handed out to Suarez. Idiocy & they deserve all the flack that will now inevitably follow.

Donga's going to need medical sedation when he reads this..............
