I have definitely seen a massive improvement in our general play under Poyet, but we are still in desperate need of an end product to it all...

Spot on RAW. We look much better on the ball and our passing has improved massively. We simply need someone who cam score. JOZY has one but missed a sitter at the weekend. One on one a striker should be scoring every time. To miss the target is crazy! I'm surprised Wickham hasn't been recalled with 6 in 5 at Weds. Not that I'm saying he's an answer but it's more in 5 games than our strikers gave scored this season

Vs West Ham: Shots-19 Shots on Target-6
Vs Tottenham: Shots-11 Shots on Target-4
Vs Chelsea: Shots-12 Shots on Target-3
Vs Man City: Shots-5 Shots on Target-2
Vs Newcastle: Shots-8 Shots on Target-4
Vs Swansea(poyets first game): Shots-6 Shots on Target-1
Vs Man U (Bally): Shots-6 Shots on Target-2
    Vs:West Brom (PDC's Last): Shots-7 Shots on Target-0
Vs Fulham (PDC's first of the season): Shots-21 Shots on Target-3

Was actually investigating the final third when you posted. I agree with you entirely but it looks like we're improving on breaking into that final third. Reckon we can crack it Raw? I think if luck can see a few go in then we could start scoring more freely.

Loving the stats at the moment me.

We're certainly looking like a team and the supporters are appreciating the improvement if not the results, which is pleasing.

We've just had 2 away games, and kept clean sheets, which we should have won .......... I'm still very confident we'll escape.

Hopefully Poyet will either go for it tonight or pull vital players off the pitch tomorrow if defeat in obvious.

Lat thing I want is extra time and penalties.

In Jan poss a striker has to be high up on the list to compliment our new passing ability.

Defoe - On a loan till end of season, may improve his England chances
Hernandez - Bit of a daft one but he is not a regular

There is bound to be more, with the world cup fast approaching players will want game time to improve their chances of going to Brazil

We've got two cracking strikers, one who brings others into play and allows the team to sit further up the pitch as a unit(Jozy) and another quality all rounder who's an expert finisher (Fletch).

We need some bloody pace do we not? Someone fearless who can play anywhere in the front three, whose intelligent, versatile and has pace and energy to burn, knows the league, can be a long term addition who may just be available. Danny Welbeck will do nicely for me.

I'd like to see us go for it with a strong team. Keep an eye on Ki and Brown, hope we can get the job done, and get them off for the norwich game. I'm happy any other player can be covered but not those two.

A new goals scorer in January and we could really start and climb the table IMO.

Go for Hernandez on loan from Man Utd. That's a deal that could suit all parties.

That's right I think we all agree we need an attacking midfielder and a striker/finisher..at WH and Vile we should have won but could not score

Some on here could be politicians.... spinning the facts, to suit their agenda....

Facts are facts, look at the table..

I want to believe, even after what i thought was a canny display at West Ham, reality has once again set in.

    Wouldn't suit me!

We'd be left with Rooney who asks to leave every window, RVP who's made of glass and Welbeck who scores a brace every 200 games then nothing...

    Hernandez shouldn't be going anywhere.

Not every Striker who signs for utd are going to be happy with the Solskjær treatment. You may have to use him or lose him, same goes for Welbeck. Chances are one of them is going to say sod ya.

Chances are, both will remain professional until the end of the season when the squad will be reviewed. Every club needs 4 top strikers if they're going to challenge for the top prizes, we currently have 3 and Welbeck is not one of them, he can leave as far as I'm concerned, but the way things look it will be Hernandez and he'll probably end up at another top European side.

We know Hernandez needs game time, but not to get into the Mexico squad, he'll get into that first 11 if he's fit no matter what.

Yeah, let's look at those facts and ignore the other facts like having Ki playing well, Cattermole back, Brown staying fit and 8 of the 'relegation' teams to play at home plus some away.

At this point we could be playing at Wembley, staying in the PL and doing the double over the Mags <ok>

I'd be more than happy to have Welbeck back.

We created enough chances against Villa, Chelsea, Spurs and West Ham to have won every game ......... if it all comes right against Norwich we'll batter them.

It's all about scoring at the end of the day so passing stats mean **** all.
