Good Morning all from BardseyJust thought I would share a secret I,M a Grandad again for the ninth time! Beautiful baby boy 8lb 12.5 oz everyone is delighted and I wish John and NIKKI every happiness . I,m sure you guys do as well. I thought we had a good result on Saturday Smith appears to be leading the line well whilst Ross cant stop scoring. Big rumour going round that if Notts don't beat Leeds Billy three in a bed Davies will have to find somewhere else to sleep whilst Zola is also a worried man . AVB I think will be sacked this week after yesterdays result he has not spent wisely and it shows anyone spending over 100m should be getting better results so who will take over? WBA have sacked Clarke which took me by surprise as I thought he was doing a good job Dyche would be my choice.
Many thanks Elland we are all over the moon because their no spring chickens and it was a very long labour
Morning all ... congrats 60 ... Smith is working hard, has to be motivated by the news Leeds are keen on signing another striker, Dexter's arrival must have scared the bejesus out of him ... Spurs deserve everything they get, Levy has authorised mega dosh over his reign so far, yet he still treats his managers badly by not giving HIS choice three seasons to build, which is what is really needed, so will be awesome if they miss out on Chumps Lge millions yet again, they have been saved by the big jump in Sky monies but they can't afford to keep missing out on the CL millions ... can't see Forest sacking Job Done, he has them in a good position to launch from and no point disrupting that now, although it will be good for us if they do panic ... Watford still in contention but could have been in top two if they kept their form, could it be that their twelve loan conversions (all free transfers from Udinese and Granada that would normally have cost them millions) have lost their appetite now they have good contracts in English football? ... now here's a little question for you - if Spurs sacked AVB and came calling for McD, would he go? Or if it's WBA, Sunderland, Cardiff, West Ham? For me, I think he has found a good home at Leeds, he is a loyal person by nature, likes to finish a project, and knows there are only a handful of clubs with the same level of support and potential as Leeds, so he can become a top class manager where he is, and even get into a position to win things and compete rather than fight relegation each season ... McD to stay!! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Congratulations Leeds60 - 2 more and you can have your own football team! I think AVB's tactics rather than his purchases will be his downfall.
Johnny it may be his tactics but before you buy somebody you have in your mind where and how you will use him .He buys a guy costing 30m and doesn't play him and Soldano his useless give me Smith anytime he will be out before Christmas so he can be another Santa because in my mind that's about his limit totally over hyped
Biggest thing, regardless of who you have in your squad, is can you get your eleven to PLAY TOGETHER every week? Teams with "lesser talent" can go far if hey work hard and play as a team, look at Everton. No massive stars yet they deliver as a unit. It's about belief, desire and pure will to succeed. Too many Prem teams have players happy to finish 17th and pick up the lolly. That's why the Championship is so awesome, every team trying to win promotion and players hunting the Prem money, so massively motivated to win every game, because a little run of six wins on the spin and suddenly you're there. AVB clearly saw things in some players he did not like, hence his choices. Of course Spurs also have bighead Townsend ****ing about in their team and not playing to the best of his ability every week. Bale is a great example of a proper professional, as is Ronaldo ... even Messi. They want to play every game, and give everything when selected. For me that is what McD is starting to build at Leeds, a team that wants to play for each other knowing full well that if everyone is pulling together then they have a chance of getting promotion. That's what made the Revie and Wilkinson teams successful - they were TOGETHER!!
Congratulations, AVB has the highest win rate of any spurs manager! Yet,only scored 15 goals this season, spent loads but no reall progress, was allways going to happen.
I agree with your every word Billy united we stand divided we fall and thanks everyone for your kind words
Very best wishes to you and your extending family. Re Smith, I remember you being shot down for your very early comments about him before he came to Leeds. Well he is producing the goals and long may it continue. Work in progress I think. I will no doubt hear a very big fanfare when he plays for Scotland ( as you predicted further down the line. ) Again, best wishes to you and all granddads at this time of the year...its magic.
Dave thank you so much for your message and I forgot to tell you my life might take a turn for the better I have sold the house and down graded to Bramham village I,m fed up of being asset rich and cash poor .You may laugh bot your turn will come pensions are and will not take into account greedy bankers and energy companies.
