Fabio Capello and Michael Laudrup in the frame for the Spurs job. Big Sam 7/4 and Malky 7/2 to be next casualties according to Sky Bet.
Interestingly, it seems that most sufferers have been due to results but Malky more to do with personality clash? I would have thought that CCFC results were not that bad for newbies who have had a pretty torrid start to the season?
Agree Frankfurter, if Malky gets the chop it's because of Tan's ego rather than Malky being a poor manager.
Makes you laugh- Levy sells Bale their best player and surprise , surprise the players he buys<Levy again> don't perform!!!!!!
If they are interested I would agree that this seems like the 'right' move for him. They are a great club with World Class players and potential to achieve much more than they have been. Another factor is that the kind of players Laudrup's people were sniffing around last summer were out of our price range but definitely in Spurs'. Soldado has played for Laudrup previously, Chadhli was one that Laudrup publically stated he was interested in....it is rumoured we were looking to loan Holtby... Add in that he seemingly has taken us as far as he can (we could win the Europa but it is one hell of a longshot) and must be frustrated that despite dominating the ball and breaking at pace, in numbers, he simply doesn't have the quality of player here who will consistently play the right final ball or finish...there he most certainly would....I would think that if he is offered the position he would see enough there that he could never have here and whatsmore he has the ability to improve upon. Don't get me wrong I would be happy for him to stay here years, but if he were to leave the situation wouldn't be without it's positives....perhaps a new lease of life for the players under a new manager, the possibility that some of our boys will be going all out to prove to Laudrup that they are worth taking with him and of course a significant sum of money we hadn't budgeted for which could be spent in January on a winger and/or a defender. If he goes we have a lot to thank him for. Re : who's next for the chop If the result had gone the other way (in a very close game) between you and West Brom, I think Malky would have gone.....he's bought himself some time but you have some tough fixtures coming up so can understand why he is still one of the favourites. I can't see big Sam Allardyce lasting the season either. Terrible decision he made re: Carroll IMO. Paul Lambert might be under pressure also. They still don't look a very good side to me.
I also think Laudrup would go to Spurs given the opportunity, would be foolish not to in my opinion. I also think Huw would let him go without too much arguing (based on paper talk) and probably already has a short list of replacements. If we get an absolute pounding from Liverpool then I see Malky living on borrowed time and possibly gone before January. It doesn't help his cause when VT sees the likes of Spurs off-loading a manager when they are 7th in the table and in a European competition. However, it is difficult to see who would replace Malky and improve results with our current crop of players. Big Sam must be under pressure now but I think Lamber and Hughton is safe for the moment .
Spelling error there,I think,Dragon. Can you clarify for me/us,please. Is it "Sam Allardyce next for me!",or perhaps, and I'm holding my breath just in case it is, "Sam Allardyce sexy for me!" !!!???
I can't imagine anyone finding someone who looks like Toad of Toad Hall 'sexy' - then again this is Dragon we're talking about. Laudrup's not going anywhere until his contract runs out in the summer. He's already turned down a Champions League club (rumoured to be Porto) to stay here so he won't go now. Cardiff have a tough run of games coming up and I suspect that will give Tan the excuse he needs come January. I agree with Valley - he probably doesn't deserve it.
Laudrup's contract runs out the end of next season not this season If he goes before then its for a £10mil compo clause (with Laudrup pocketing £3mil of that if rumours are true)
Now that's hit me for six, stid. Could have sworn it was next summer. Maybe I forgot about an extension. Got my wires crossed?
Come clean now. I would also say Allardyce next (not sext - unless Phill gets hold of him). Cardiff would be mad to get rid of Malky but Tan does strike me as a little whacky.
If............... Big Sam goes i can see Malky replacing him at West ham and good luck to him. If Laudrup did go to Spurs who would be your personal choices as replacement.
Big sam to be the next manager sacked with hopefully laudrup to follow. the latter would be a lovely xmas present if that happens...
