Tough question. I really want to win the league cup. Failing to beat Norwich won't relegate us but it would make it very tough. But we could beat Chelsea then lose the Semi's. Still, I want to win the league cup.
I'd love to beat Chelsea and I'd enjoy it more than the win over the Norwich but the fact of the matter is we need the win at Norwich far more than we need a win over Chelsea.
We have got to Wembley twice the last time we have played Chelsea in the cups !, so a good omen for Tuesday. Spurs in the semi final, that would be ok.
I was very tempted to say Chelsea, as there's an argument that since we've won nowt for 40 years, the chance of us winning a cup could be the only success we get in the next decade(s), so we should try and take it. However, thinking about it, 73 was special and we've good reason to still remember it. It wasn't just a case of winning a competition that most of the sides aren't really trying in. I don't think that memories of winning the League Cup in 2014 are going to keep us going in the future in the same way that 73 did. I wonder if Birmingham City fans would rather have won the cup or stayed up? So, Norwich for me.
You can't pick and choose your wins, so for me Chelsea is the priority. A win (and semi-final place) will be a confidence boost going into the Christmas league fixtures.
No brainer for me lads, we're desperate for points so i'll take the 3 off Norwich, silverware would be nice but not at the expense of relegation which would set us back 3 or more years.
