QPR boss Redknapp admits to spending almost £2,000 a year on feathered friends By Joe Strange PUBLISHED: 09:39 GMT, 15 December 2013 | UPDATED: 09:39 GMT, 15 December 2013 0 View comments Harry Redknapp has confessed to an unlikely obsession away from football - feeding the birds that visit his garden. The QPR boss, who lives in Sandbanks, Dorset, is up at the crack of dawn every morning to make sure his feathered friends don't go hungry. Redknapp said: 'I'm a compulsive bird feeder. You'll see me out in the dead of winter at 5am, filling up our feeders and tables.' Even with a long commute to the R's training ground in Harlington, the former Portsmouth manager still makes time for his hobby. But it's not just time that Redknapp invests. He added: 'We have about 30 and I can easily spend 80 quid on bird food a fortnight in the pet shop. 'I won't leave for work until I've fed them - I hate to think of them going hungry. Bit mad, innit?' Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...000-year-feathered-friends.html#ixzz2nXJGhvr5 Follow us: @MailOnline on Twitter | DailyMail on Facebook
