'I'm addicted to feeding birds!' QPR boss Redknapp admits to spending almost £2,000 a year on feathered friends

Harry Redknapp has confessed to an unlikely obsession away from football - feeding the birds that visit his garden.

The QPR boss, who lives in Sandbanks, Dorset, is up at the crack of dawn every morning to make sure his feathered friends don't go hungry.

Redknapp said: 'I'm a compulsive bird feeder. You'll see me out in the dead of winter at 5am, filling up our feeders and tables.'

Even with a long commute to the R's training ground in Harlington, the former Portsmouth manager still makes time for his hobby. But it's not just time that Redknapp invests.

He added: 'We have about 30 and I can easily spend 80 quid on bird food a fortnight in the pet shop.

'I won't leave for work until I've fed them - I hate to think of them going hungry. Bit mad, innit?'

5 am! Maybe he'd gone back to sleep before the game yesterday, and judging from our performance didn't wake up until an hour had gone

    Interesting observations:-

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/home/mos...dknapp-Managing-team-isnt-rocket-science.html

After ability, attitude is the most important factor in assessing a player.

"You only need two or three bad apples – when things aren’t going well they’ll be the first to poison the place. You have to be careful not to get too many of those people around you, and if you’ve got them you have to get them out of the club quickly."
