According to some reports, the OX is about to start running again and should be in full training in a few weeks time. Feels like ages ago since we saw him play, but alongside Ramsey, he was our most impressive player in pre-season for me and was hoping to see big things from him this season. Having him back would add another great option to our attack.
He started off this season in blistering form and it was a real blow that he got injured so early on. If he comes back anywhere near as good as he started this season, then he's going to give Walcott a run for his money.
If Walcott regains his form from last season then Oxo doesn't have a chance! But i know what you mean, oxo was doing very well pre-injury. Podolski back is great and having oxo as an option some time before the new year would be brilliant.
United look so average, they'll probably still win the game, but their fans know inside that they have no chance of winning the title, and they will be fighting for that 4th spot this season.
RVP out for a month apparently. Right after Moyes played him for a full 90 after he'd returned from another injury. Ha. Any Arsenal fan alive would tell you that you never rush RVP back from injuries! Further more did anyone clock Moyes saying he wanted to take him off but was worried about the response? Bit weird that, shouldn't care what others think if he's worth his salts as a manager. Arsenal-wise Theo looks like he's ready to start on Saturday and hopefully Sagna too. Podolski looks like he has to wait another few days for fitness.
RVP got injured while taking a corner, lol, yeah the old injury prone RVP is definitely back. This time it's his thigh, just before that it was his groin, enjoy it United fans.
United fans should be happy, they got really lucky that first season, or maybe it was just Fergie magic!
Fantastic news about the groin injury - missed that one. I've been sticking pins in an RVP voodoo doll's nadgers for the past few months so assumed it wasn't working! Good work to whoever is working on his legs too.
It was a miracle that he stayed fit for the whole of past two seasons, really. This season is the norm for his whole career.
Maybe RVP is getting injured against because of Moyes' training techniques? You can bet that's what RVP will be thinking, he's been injury free for 2 full seasons until Moyes showed up.
Koscielny - I'm assuming he's going to be out of the Chelsea match?... which would of course be a big blow. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...-sidelines-after-suffering-deep-knee-cut.html http://metro.co.uk/2013/12/15/arsen...ny-posts-gory-picture-of-knee-injury-4231076/
Difficult one to predict how long he'll be out for. A deep laceration sounds nasty and on the knee it's going to take a while to heal as it's on a joint, but it's better news than a ligament damage which it what I first feared when the stretcher came on. We'll miss him no doubt though, although to be honest Mert and Vermaelen is a better combo than Kos and Vermaelen so maybe the silver lining is that it was Kos and not Mert who got injured.
Yeah but the problem is that if he's out until the new year, we will mainly have to stick with Mert-TV and barely have any chances for rotating CB's. We basically only have 2 fit CB's at the moment, and that's not good enough for a side like Arsenal, and a side looking to challenge for trophies. We need to sign a striker and a defender in the January transfer window.
