Michu has expressed his desire to play for a champions league team, do you think he will go in January's window? I think it might be true, if he wants to play in the world cup then his chance would significantly increase if he is in a so called big club playing CL football. What do you think, is he good enough? How much would you be happy seeing our best player go for? http://www.sportsmole.co.uk/football/swansea-city/transfer-talk/news/michu-i-want-to-play-for-a-big-club_124362.html
Agree. However he will have to rediscover the form from earlier on in the season. Should we get anything over 20 million, then yes.
Nobody's gonna handover £20,000,000 for a player still finding his feet at this level (I'd snap their hands off if they did) , impressive as he was last season playing in role which he disliked and scoring with relative ease but playing in his favoured position this season with a lower return could make him appear to be an enigma , he'll move on but not in January imo .
Utd paid 15million for Zaha, Liverpool 20million for Henderson etc, and Michu is better than both so I think it will take a big offer. But as bony says, can't see him leaving in January.
First things first, he needs to recapture his form. He's missed some sitters this season and has had fitness issues. Can be a game changer on his day but I doubt many Champions League teams will be queuing up to pay big money for him based on current form. But he's not said anything that should be a suprise. All players will use clubs like Swansea as a stepping stone to better things if they are any good. If he kickstarts his season tomorrow and goes on to score 10-15 goals then we're looking at £20M imo. Nice.
Come on lads keep up mun where you been, it was reported days ago that Arsenal were sniffing around Michu, what price that Liverpool suddenly show an interest come January.
What you on about , there's been far more interesting discussions on here than a player moving or a game of footy to chat about
Are you talking about my arrival on here. I agree I am far more interesting but I have noticed you lot need a bit of football now and then too. I shall try to make sure that Bovi's board from now on has the odd chat about football. Arguing on Internet forums is a complete waste of time unless of course it's against the house of horrors at Legoland
Michu needs freedom to be himself (to go looking) or to have a team built around him. Some great qualities, but a regular in a champions league team ... I'm not so sure. (Maybe time to show him some videos of DDV, Pratley, Robinson & Trundle) or is he just getting his leaving prep done before ML leaves?
Really a rehash of a news story last December but never the less it'll come true one day , in football theres only two constants . players and managers leaving
He's not ready for a big club, but I suspect he's been primed by Laudrup for the summer!...............
Amazing! We know that Michu will move on but from what I'm reading on various forums, many wouldn't mind if it's sooner rather than later. What short memories some people have got! Just because Michu hasn't been banging them in like last season, suddenly he's no longer flavour of the month. No surprise his goals have dried up though. The team hasn't been playing well and he was carrying a nasty injury before he was finally forced out with it. Despite this, he was his usual energetic self, always putting in a shift and doing more than his share. If the others had half his mentality and approach, we would be way better off by now. He will leave us but before then I think he's still got a lot to give us. Just needs games to find match fitness and he'll start firing again.
I don't think its that people have short memories but more like recognising that in reality he'll be gone and if so get the best price for him .Enjoy him while we've got him
Would love to see him bang in a few goals, would do wonders for his confidence, he's reluctant to pull the trigger this season, preferring to lay the pass off instead!.........
Phil has a point and I cannot understand your comments ivor. Most posters have not been negative and recognised he's a good player but needs to recapture his form - and they're right aren't they? We all know he's been injured and it will take time to get back up to speed but he was pretty invisible again today and he ain't going to be playing for a CL team any time soon like that. He has the capability along with Bony to be one of our most creative and productive players but it just isn't happening at the moment - though I accept you could say that about the whole team.
