He's doing a Stewart at the minute. Goes into the treatment room our best player and comes out looking like a lost little boy. Hope it's a blip and he hasn't cameroned.
Didnt Brucey say t'other week it was mental not physical. I honestly thought when he brought Boyd on he was going to take Brady off!! He was awful. He needs a spell in the reserves to get his confidence up, not that we have a proper reserves, just saying like.
Disappointed that Brady seems to have gone missing, from one of our best players to a passenger in the last few games he's come on
He can be frustrating when he's at his best.. he messes up the simple things but pulls something from nowhere. Given a couple of games and a bit of backing he ll soon be back to his unpredictable best. He can be a top top player .
He came on for what 15 minutes? Touched the ball a couple of times and made some wrong decisions when did. I accept he didn't play well but ffs he wasn't as bad as this thread makes out. Koren's first half against Liverpool was far worse. It's easy to criticise Brady since Bruce mentioned he's struggling mentally. Anyway it's his off the pitch issues apparently. He's having a baby and looking for a house and stuff. Not sure if that should be affecting his performances but that's the mental problems he was talking about.
25 mins... are you blind? the guy is unrecognisable. He was our main source of creativity and goals early on. Now he can barely pass the ball.
Read what I'm saying, I'm not denying his talent or recent ineffectivity I'm just saying don't go over the top and make out he's playing worse than he is. Have some perspective. He was only involved in the play 2-3 times in the time he was on and yeah he ****ed it up, but it wasn't the horror show that's being made out. Yes he was poor but we've seen worse.
He was dog ****. Indefensibly so. I'm not sure why you're bringing Koren into the argument either. He has also been indefensibly dog **** this season but that's not what this thread is about. Stay focused PLT, stay focused.
I hope those are not being proffered as 'reasons' for his modest form since his op. I thought it was officially he seems reluctant to go flat out cos of fears he's not quite right after the hernia. He would rightly be laughed out of any workplace if he said he was underperforming cos of house hunting issues when he's on what? 10k a week?
It was just a comparison to offer some perspective. I think that's the issue, whether we agree with it or not. I'm pretty sure from what I've been told that it's nothing to do with his injury.
I don't think Figueroa not knowing which side to pass to today helped Brady, yeah he wasn't great but compared to Figueroa down that side he was world class. He needs a break I think, remember he's still only really young and he played a lot of games last year/start of this, and had internationals in the summer, so it's bound to take affect both mentally and physically.
Well yes, because it's not his goals we're talking about; it's his performances. He looked like he was at home in the Premier League, was taking people on and looking very dangerous. Now...
