JT & Ivan - Best CB partnership. Except that we have a good team today. Nando Will, Mata, Hazard Essien Rambo Caesar JT Luiz Ivan Cech Nando is back again - old nando would have scuffed that kind of rebound. Sharpish. Overall we still should have had 4 or 5 goals from this half. occasionally, entire team look like they are sitting on a 7 goal lead and going through the motions. To top it we have Luiz who has the arrogance of Cristiano playing CB. - even Cristiano won't be that arrogant if sticked in the back four. Like outscore we can out defend (or in defend, if there a word) - our opposition quite easily with Cahill or Luiz involved in CB. Let's look at the second half, whether we can hold on to 2-1?
no difference from last game. every break and set piece - we seriously look like conceding. on the other hand no one is there to finish all our promising attacks.
Jose has to stick Ivanovic in the cb slot and move Azpi back to rb. It could not be worse than what is going on now.
our defense are in total disarray and we make Palace attacks incisive. Andre on for Willian. Willian had a very good game.
Andre, Ba & Rambo all targeting speroni and not the goal.. should have got 5/6 by now. feck our finishing and feck our defense.
We should've won that by some distance if it weren't for Ramires' poor finishing and Speroni's top keeping. We don't look good, but 2 points off the top, QF of the League cup, last 16 in the CL and all before Christmas. Could be worse

Heaven help us when we start playing a half decent side! All Jose's dialogue about re-forming the team, doesn't add up to me! Back to doing what were before this all started going wrong!
I think Jose has had enough of Cole to be honest despite what he says, and he seems to be a big fan of Azpi. I can see us getting Shaw in the window with Bertrand going the other way and then lining up with Azpi, Ivan, JT, Shaw. I hope anyway. Great blocks from JT and Ivan to stop O'Keefe. Hazard and Willian played well I thought, Mata was a little off and Torres a bit frustrated. Ramires could have had a hat trick today but he scored a beaut. Despite the words of Jose, my shopping list for January includes a LB, CM and ST with another CB if we offload Luiz, which I am against.
If Jose doesn't rate Cole then Bertrand should be given a game when he gets back from injury. Azpi is ok but he'd be better at rb and then we wouldn't have to watch Ivanovic play the same crappy ball all day long. Hardly impressive -sounds like the team is plodding and at the moment our league position is flattering courtesy of city's thumping of arsenal. Two problems that urgently need addressing: defensive organisation and lack of a clinical finisher. Despite their recent form we need to step up big time to get anything from the Gooners next Monday....the January window can't come soon enough.
what worried me was how palace seemed to win the first ball at every set piece with ease !! and why chelsea keep sending in high crosses when you know that our forwards are never going to get to them first !!
