Great result, but I thought we were very lucky. Happily, Blackpool were appalling in front of goal otherwise we'd have lost. Terrible 1st half and we only seemed to have 1 good 15 minutes after Kransjar come on, when we scored twice and Carrol was only stopped by a very good save. Green MOM for me today - he saved us.

See Flyer has been complimentary about the ref, justifiably so, thought he controled the game with common sense and took account of the conditions....top marks to him.... Can someone just remind me is it now 12 or 13 clean sheets as I am beginning to lose count......!
Just had a look at the rest of the results today and there were only 5 goals scored by teams playing at home today, 1 home win and 7 away wins, strange league!
I will be celebrating elsewhere tonight Oddball, with my friend Trampy,...the Burnley supporter.....he doesnot want to know the results and wants to watch the league show together tonight at midnight....we are roaring drunk now,,,,,, shall i tell him or not?
Amazing Jekyll and Hyde performance - 1st half just abject… comedy defending and hardly stuck our noses in their half… 2nd, controlled the game, scored 2 (first a bit flukey) and would have had another but for a wonder save from Gilkes. Phillips the most hot and cold of them all… wonder what Harry said at half time? Leicester a huge game now (if it wasn't before)
True, but if we'd have lost we'd still have been third and in the pack - beat Leicester and that's six points between us and them - daylight at last! Makes the missed opportunities of Donny and Blackburn even more frustrating. Edit: Sorry that was to Beth
I would say the dropped points at Donny, Blackburn, etc, are an examination of the character of the side. We still aren't playing that well consistently, but "We are top of the league" !! Slowly getting better, great to see Onuoha back on the pitch, Nico coming off the bench and contributing strongly, and the ongoing progress of Matty Phillips, the continued good form of Charlie. The continued good form of our defence, and Green in particular, even Jenas having a good game, and we still have Yossi to come into the team , and any January additions. Sorry am I only seeing the positives ??????
Very good second half. We win without impressing - champions! The Swedish commentator is really funny: "QPR from SW London" "BAE is great at defending but is very uncomfortable on the ball" He always slates Barton, he should have been sent off for a tackle (?). (When he got hit by the bottle at Burnley, he suggested that Barton should have been reprimanded for provoking the crowd) While babbling on about our move he said: "The question is whether QPR will continue with their artificial pitch when they move". I might watch a stream next week, so I don't have to listen to him. Oh, btw, WE ARE TOP OF THE LEAGUE!
I think the dropped points are a reminder that nothing should be taken for granted in this league - the fact we are top is both fantastic and quite surprising given how difficult we seem to find breaking teams down. First half wasn't great, but the second was quite impressive in parts Things we can take from the game (apart from the win and points of course) - Matty Phillips seems to be better on the right and Harry seems to have decided that early substitutions give us a chance to turn things round. All good really.
Well said KPD I personally do not think people are giving our opposition enough credit nearly everyone we have played has upped their game and making life difficult for us.
Does anyone know why Hill came off? It can't be just to give Onuoha a run out because they wouldn't take our best player off at 0-0.
