OK to lighten the mood - no, your favourite 70's combo isn't playing at the Stag and Dalek. Will Laudrup, in starting to address our recent woeful displays play Michu in behind Bony this Sunday from the start? Although they've struggled to gel there were signs that it was starting to come good before both got injured. For me Bony was one of our better players last night and we all know what Michu can do on his day. I still maintain that when these two click we'll have a formidable front line that will get us goals. However, we're away from home so should Laudrup's approach be a little more conservative / defensive? Norwich are not as formidable as last season but they are traditionally our bogey team. Would you be happy with a point at Carrow Road or should the Manager go for the win and play Boney M?
Win please , just to settle the nerves . all out attack attack attack . Hopefully Rangels back with Ben and with Chico out due to his persistent play acting Jodi Amat is much more composured and needs game time because Ash isn't doing the business atm and he may need a break .
we will win, last night was our nadir we cannot be possibly be worse. 2-0 to the jacks a Bony and Michu double, keep the faith STID
Win please!!!! we need all the help we can get. And I know that some of you will hate to do us a favour...but in the spirit of Christmas and Welshness, you can do us all a favour!
Always a tough game for us. Replicate the form against Toon and we should win. Play as we did last night and we'll get stuffed. Depends which of our players decide to turn up and we need them all to.
Don't agree with that sausageman. A point apiece would keep both clubs in the mix for what looks like being a right royal relegation scrap. Below Man U (and they'll be fine) in the table, there are no free passes for Prem football next year. I think Swansea should be OK in the long run, but Norwich will battle away till the death. We need more than just a few candidates in the frame for the drop come those last dozen games. Whatever happens at Norwich, we simply have to put West Brom away tomorrow or heads will really go down at the club - some may even roll....
The team need to go all out for this game (and every game!). Starting from the manager down I'd like to see some real passion and energy. Bust a gut. This is a game we can win. We already know we'll have a decent share of posession so let's use it effectively instead of endless passes between the back and the keeper until an inevitable poor pass gives the opposition a scoring opportunity.
Even if we win it will be a one off.. Nothing is going to change while laudrup is here so the sooner he leaves and finds a club suited to his way of things the better. His brother summed him up perfectly. .. Maybe January i hope..
"We need more than just a few candidates in the frame for the drop come those last dozen games." Who's "we"? Let me guess....
The performance is more important than the win at the moment. If we show some fight and lose by the odd goal then we cant complain but if we play like the last couple of games with a big majority of possession and norwich gets treble the amount of shots on target and win by a couple of goals then i really dont know where to go from there. We will have to hope that jinx has seen enough and pays him off for the sake of the club....Lets hope we put in a shift for all our sakes and not just a one off...
"The performance is more important than the win at the moment." WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG Weren't you saying that points are all important? I'd take an average performance and nicking it 0-1 as would most Swans fans.
It's not rocket science Aussie. Upper mid table comfort zone clubs can afford a bit of relaxation in the run in - nothing to win, and other than an extreme set of bizarre results, normally very little chance of the drop. Looking at your fixture list, 6 of your last 11 games from March onwards to season end are against clubs currently occupying the bottom half of the table. It's no secret, I'd prefer you to be in amongst them to make the games a contest, not a bloody stroll. If we are down there as well as I fully expect us to be, those 6 games you have against Palace, West Brom, Norwich, Hull, Villa and Sunderland on the last day could be pivotal for us. Hate to say it, but our final destiny this season could have a lot to do with your performances as the season draws to a close. It would be nice to think we didn't need your results, but given the way it's going for us so far, only be an extreme optomist would say that at this stage. You never know, you might need them too.
Your view not mine, I don't mind losing if we put in a good shift. we are not entitled to win any game whoever we play but when we lose knowing we have not tried then that is wrong .wrong wrong.
"I don't mind losing if we put in a good shift." Yes I'm sure if we lose you won't be bellyaching about Laudrup again.
