Lloyds fined £28m, RBS fined £60m for applying pressure to sales staff. Your thoughts? as this is my line of work i will add no further comment but will be interested in your opinions -------------------------------------------------- Go! (please)
The fines were for dodgy practices; the fact they are banks seems secondary. But it's a bit thick to do something like that in the current climate.
who will pay the fines , not the bank but the savers in low interest rates. So it is really a fine on the public and yet again the banks get away with it
Where there is sales, there is always pressure. Said pressure can (operative word) lead to dodgy tactics being involved. Like the OP, I work in banking so I need to be careful however I do not operate in the sales side, although I did for a while, so no real worries for me.
I'd like to know why after all the **** banks have put the world through lately with there corrupt greedy ways, is no banker in prison?
there's plenty of crooks in the worldn addition to this lot. city bankers can be a right bunch of arrogant shermans, but i'm sure there's plenty others who do a decent job.
That's why they used to call a pound a "punt " in Ireland..........because it ryhmed with bank manager...
Personally thinks its disgraceful that most of the bankers involved in these scandals over the last 10 years havent done any time at all for what they did!! The lives of so many were ruined because of their selfish and self-serving actions!!
