It doesn't matter whether he has a plan, why do you obsess with a plan? You don't need a plan, his actions and suggestions are Marketing orientated, or (anti Marketing) if you like. AA is a Guerilla Marketeer. Verbally he is dividing the fan base and causing this feeling of discontent, through ill advised comments and actions. He has on numerous occasions stated the name change will happen, so they can market the club better abroad.
Doesn't this all get vetoed if another club registered with the FA play under the name 'Hull Tigers', or have that name registered?
The fact it took you that long simply demonstrates what a clueless bugger you are, the further fact that you chose to brag about it and expect some sort of recognition on here is simply laughable.
As someone who works in marketing this article is a little disappointing. It's not really added any value to what anybody already knew but it's interesting exposure. Global audiences are no longer dumb enough to simply respond to the imagery of a tiger. Working on whim's is dangerous marketing and he's relying on the potential of custom. Potential being the key word. My question is, how is he planning to see a financial return on the brand change? Is he expecting shirt sales, new investment, advertising etc. If it's global online shirt sales they are looking at then they haven't got a hope in hell! We all know the real reason why he is changing the name anyway! Lets hope the FA have a backbone.
I personally think it's not about selling shirts,it's about ultimately selling the club. He may have bitten off more than he can chew buying City and that's why he seems stressed and is clutching at straws. As an aside everyone, including those against the change, always say the idea is to shorten the name from Hull City Association Football Club to Hull Tigers. .But correct me if I'm wrong, isn't the wording"Football Club"a given? You just don't have to use it in general.Leaving aside the pros and cons of "Association" which I believe is optional, all league clubs that I can think of have it in their official name.Wouldn't we?
The more I read about Allam's plans and the (lack of) reasons behind them - the more I think his marketing advisors may be South Park's Underpants Gnomes.
On the subject of marketing nouse, I fail to understand how Allam can peddle that he knows what he is talking about. His company branding and website is so out of touch it should embarrass him and these days a decent website/branding is such a pivotal point for all marketing. I know he is selling generators so the likes of me isn't going to pitch up and buy one but, isn't this about pride also? If my website for my company looked like this http://www.allam.com no matter how much it makes I would take a serious look at myself. Also isn't he basing all of this on some article written by an academic, if so they are famously always spot on about real life applications of theories... right? I have read these boards since they started, and read 606 longer then that. I only made an account this month and I know this isn't the correct thread, but **** me lads if you wanted new posters you lot are a prime put off. No wonder you only see a select few bothering.
The thing the FA will hopefully take into consideration is that this is a land mark case and its decision will set a precident as to how all the other clubs / owners act in future. If Allam wins. What is there to stop Liverpool becoming "Fenway Football Club"
My concern is that they could also not want to set a precedent that would block another club making some other change. They could think "it's only Hull, they'll be back down out of site soon anyway." That's why it's important we all do what we can to make that an uncomfortable position for them to hold. Don't forget the current Barclays tag line "#you are football"
Quite funny considering some CTWD followers still think he has a marketing plan. What does that make them?
Do you have an inherent disease that forces you to read everything I write? Not sure if there's a cure around but I dunno, you could maybe try... wild guess... not read my posts, if they make you cry so much? Or are the biased moderators soon going to ban anything that isn't pro CTWD?
Who thinks he has one? We all know he hasn't but he keeps claiming it. Showing he doesn't have one and sarcastically alluding to his marketing team to show how much bollocks he's talking isn't the same as believing him.
