Absolutely not. We press them - continually. Play it like a home match - they'll break

just have to hope that when we get a chance we put it away, not the normal 5- 10 shots needed to score a goal.

our threat will come from Coutinho and Luis, Spurs will double up on them both for sure, just have to hope the others step up.

hopeful of a draw, but be ruddy amazed if we walked away with 3pts.

Tottenham's game against Sunderland sums them up perfectly. Even against the ****test team in the league they needed a dodgy penalty decision in their favour and an own goal to win. They cannot score.

Skrtel needs to be briefed that if a ball is coming into the box and Defoe is behind him he should let it go. Skrtel is a far greater goal threat.

i certainly don't agree with defending deep and hoping. the more of the ball we have higher up the pitch the less chance they score. 4-2-3-1 allows 4 mean pressing hard. drop into 4-5-1 if we can win it back.

are we capable... not so sure.

They haven't been brilliant this season so if we go at them there's no reason we can't get a result, this should be a game we go for as Chelsea and City away are going to be more difficult.

  6. Don't the bigger games suit spurs though? Ie, they struggle against the lower sides?

Wow this thread has bulked up a bit <yikes>

Must of been some amazing discussion in here that the OP sparked, hopefully I won't look back and find most of the comments are a result of discussing line-ups for future matches as well as the weekends match. Because that would certainly not belong in a Liverpool v Tottenham match thread.

Given its a match history thread, lets look at the last time Spurs had a talented bunch of individuals playing in their team and Liverpool played them...

    Enjoy!

I'm game for this - What injuries do you think the Spuds will pick up tonight against Anzhi in the Europa? Any key players we're looking to get crocked by the Russians?
