"When Sunderland get relegated", I will............

    1... Laugh my tits off!!
2... Knock on my Uncle`s door and dance around like a loon!
3... In tribute to the great unwashed, not bathe for a week!!
4... Tell all my Mackem mates... " I told you so!!" Ha Ha
5... Sleep better in my bed that night, knowing that they have found their level in football!
6... Know in my heart that for all their spite and bluster, we are better!!

    Anyone got any better thoughts????

Might spark some sort of evolutionary leap forward in Newcastle, emerging out of the primordial soup for such a prolonged time.

And to answer the original question- Giaccherini is the only really decent player, and who knows Cabral and Diakite might actually be good players, god only knows whats going on there.

Is this thread not borne out worry Man U being desperate to strengthen their midfield? Cabaye will be aware I'm sure.

Assuming you mean as good as any NUFC strikers, sorry, but that simply isn't true. There is no way Fletcher is in the same league as Remy. Maybe not owned by us but he is playing for us.

Fletcher won't save you from relegation

Short needs to decide if he wants to invest in Jan to stay up or sell a few key assets to bounce back at the first attempt.
I cannot see the Yank coughing up.

I wonder how long it will be before Poyet's position comes under threat (if it does at all)? Certainly, if the mackems keep losing I can see their fans starting to turn on him (this might not be his team but hey-ho there is little little room for sympathy in football). They are currently falling over themselves to blame anyone but themselves for their woes but lets just wait and see. I can also imagine the player's won't be too chuffed at his suggestion that they aren't good enough....players revolting again maybe? If we do get to late January and things are no better I can see their owner dumping Gustavo and plumping for someone else to rescue them from the brown stuff. Blimey, how fortunes have changed since that 2-1 loss to the filth.

I'd consider Fletcher, purely because he can score if given service and we may be left with Cisse by the time they were relegated.
Giacherrini, couldn't see him taking Anita's place on the bench but as a bit of squad padding maybe.
    Beyond that I'm out.
Whilst it's enjoyable watching them stagger from one disaster to another and they deserve a dip in the championship because it's been too long. I'd rather they stay up.
Imagine the real possibility of Norwich, Cardiff/Stoke and Sunderland going and QPR, Reading and another (Watford are off the pace) coming up?
Journeys to Arsenal, Tottenham, Chelsea, Crystal Palace, Fulham, West Ham, QPR added to Southampton and Reading? Pretty Southern heavy.
To be honest a QPR points deduction for financial irregularities and Palace, Fulham, West Ham down would be healthy in my view.

Just thought I'd bump this in anticipation of Fat Sam's injury hit team bagging three points against those that are all aboard the Gus Bus.

And before last weekend we hadn't won at Old Trafford in 41 years.

Any excuse to laugh at the shambles that is Sunderland really. Wouldn't surprise if they got a result tomorrow purely because West Ham have horrific injury problems. It also wouldn't surprise if Sunderland got battered 3 or 4 zip because they really are that bad.

Our defeat to them looks worse with each passing game.

I think Fat Sam is getting close to the point where the Porn Mag Supremos might cut him loose, as for underland need to bridge the points gap to the clubs above them very soon or will be heading for the 2nd tier of English football.

To be fair West Ham haven't impressed this year, think Sunderland have had a tough fixture list, can see this being a Sam special.

Obviously I hope West Ham absolutely smash them.

If West Ham and Cardiff win today, the Mackems begin to look cut adrift. It would really ramp up the pressure on the Norwich game. Be nice to see Hughton hammer another nail in.

I'm just glad we're not involved in another scrap at present. I think we all know we may slip away a little but hopefully we can be at least safely serene in mid table near the end. That way we can enjoy watching them squirm and suffer :1980_boogie_down:

I think Mackems could get a result against WHU today.

Absolutely, mate. The sooner we get to 40 points the better, we can relax and enjoy then (well, maybe). As for the mackems, I hope they lose every game from now in. Even then they'd still dine out for ever on those two wins. You see, other than beating us and the victories over Man City they haven't done anything for yonks. The mackem cupboard has been rather bare.

Me too sadly. The mackems have moaned on and on about decisions, but West Ham have had genuine bad luck. Injuries galore.
