Should this not be merged with the "Injury update" thread or the "January transfer" thread <whistle>

In total we need a striker although when we have Sturridge & Suarez available, would they want to be behind those 2? Unless we get a very good wide forward and play 433 again.

2 Central midfielders, one a strong DM as competition for Lucas and one a creative player competition for Coutinho. Allen & Henderson can compete for the 3rd role.

And then finally 2 full backs, a RB to go into the first team and challenge Johnson and a LB to compete/back up for Enrique.

No chance we'll get all that in Jan but if we can get some in Jan and then the Summer will be looking good. If we get CL football then it opens up an ever better standard of player.

I hope we don't go mad in terms of numbers in Jan (I doubt we will). One or two quality additions rather than 4 or 5 squad players. A bit more quality and strength in midfield and a better option than Sterling/Aspas/Moses up top.

    No need to shout <ok>

Don't think we'll struggle to find better than our two loan signings eh. Although the twenty goals Moses is going to get second half of the season could be tough to replace <whistle>

  10. Agreed. Peoples must be getting tired of me saying it by now but we need to buy quality first teamers, do this and the squad will take care of itself.

Just realized that these can probably merge together seeing as it is about the injuries. The transfer thread or Pub thread can go into more detail ( or even this one too) about what we now will need. That Gerrard one though hurts, also from a mental aspect as he is Captain fantastic and the leader of the team. Hopefully we have those brave players who can step up and fill in until January comes and another boost comes around with a quality purchase.

Manchester United striker Robin van Persie is out for a month with a thigh strain, manager David Moyes tells a news conference #MUFC

For those who did or did not catch it, in the Newcastle game he was hurting but Moyes kept him on as he probably couldn't handle the backlash. Now out a month.

    I wouldn't be surprised.

    Moyes ruins another striker, lol.
