I posted a link after the Man Utd v Arsenal game about a foreign 'plastic' killing himself because Arsenal lost. It may have been CanaryRob that posted there were likely to have been more to the story than what was printed, which was perfectly fair comment but I am beginning to wonder after reading this!

Coincidence? Possibly but perhaps not. Maybe these people can be liked to sheep and lemmings, either way I find it incredible that these incidents are cropping up with a little regularity.

I agree that it is worrying and somewhat unbelievable. However, as someone pointed out on here previously, it's probably the straw that broke the camels back and there could well be other underlying reasons for them taking such drastic action.

Yeah I accept that, or rather I did.

I am beginning to wonder if there are people in certain parts of the world, where life typically sucks, and to be following a trail of success somewhere is all they feel they have in life. Once that success begins to erode, they feel life is has become so unbearable. In such circumstances, then yes it is their life and/or circumstances in general, that make them feel so insignificant BUT it's football results, not the death of a loved one, that is pushing them over the edge? Regardless of their circumstances, I find this very scary.

Out of interest, why does poor sod have to be tagged as a 'plastic'?

If you choose to support a team which doesn't lose twice in a row for that very reason then you are definitely a plastic. Without ever watching their chosen teams (it's never Hull City or Norwich is it?) how can they feel so strongly about them when they have no connection to them...
