I am having second thoughts about Manure having Guly, he may have had a bionic rebuild and be the next super star, would be silly to let him go and find out afterwards.

Wow. Just incredible to suggest a player would leave everton or spurs in a CL spot and go to manure simply because 'it's manu'. And why would a player trade working under Poch for bloody Moyes.

Even if they did stick their big red noses in they would still have to pay through those noses to get anywhere near Lallana and Shaw. Both are on fairly long contracts and with Cortese being the man they would have to deal with I don't see how the most hated club in the world could buy them, even if the players handed in transfer requests. The benefits of bringing players through the youth system, once your in a good position like we are they are more interested in staying. United will have to settle for Blackburn rejects like Savage and see what life as a mediocre premier league team is like, because the times have changed. I have to agree that this article is less about what United can do and more about Savage trying to pass his opinion as an educated prediction and failing miserably. He is a pundit for one reason and one reason only, because in one way or another he is entertaining, whether he makes people laugh or winds them up.

I don't get why you are all so worked up. Lallana is a perfectly feasible transfer target for other clubs.

Let's say that Man U. offers 15 million for Lallana and Saints also find a buyer for Ramirez at 7 million. Saints sell both, use the cash to buy Ever Banega, and that opens up a backup slot possibly for Harrison Reed or Omar Rowe who Saints feel are ready to get a taste of first team action.

That is the benefit of having an academy and being a "big club." You don't have to be afraid to move talent, because there is always more coming through the pipeline.

But a smart manager/club move the player on at the right time - Fergie was excellent at that, as is Wenger. The right time for Adam to move (should he ever do so) certainly isn't right now, in my humblest one.
