I am far from convinced by CH as most of you will know. BUT when you get results like this you have to give credit to both CH and the team.

We needed to win this game a bit like we needed to win the games against the hammers and palace and guess what we did!

We even got a clean sheet!

There are loads of could of, should of's and what if's but the fact is we won! Away from home so hats off to CH and the players. I hope they are having a damn good time tonight and cementing some more team spirit as today's result has shown that we do have it.

And I hope CH is at home having a nice glass or 2 of quality red with a satisfied grin on his face.

Yes, a much needed win and several teams below us now. A little lucky, perhaps, but we were due a bit of luck, and I'd have to say that CH got these seven days and three games basically right. The six points more than makes up for the thrashing at Liverpool and I just hope we can win two of the next three games and put some real distance between ourselves and the bottom three.

I wouldn't rule out getting something at Sunderland and home games against Sunderland and Fulham offer opportunities. As I have been pointing out all season long you just cannot assess the situation until all nineteen games have been played. If we can manage five points from the four games remaining we will be on 22 at the halfway stage.Anyone not happy with that?

And perhaps more to the point, we should also be looking at returns to full fitness for all our current walking wounded, enabling a first choice eleven to be selected once again. Pilks, Snodders, RvW, E Benno and Tettey. <ok>

Yes good result and very pleasing that we did it with a wounded squad. The relief when Fer's goal went in (and the celebration on the pitch and here in my living room) was clearly welcome.

Benno's time on the side line is still being measured in months rather than weeks unfortunately, according to his twitter account. Don't think we'll see him before late February.

Good of you to start a thread like this Kemp, but perhaps an unexpected win makes us all so happy. It seemed to me yesterday that CH has acquired a harder edge to his style (as he said he'd do in the Pink'un), and perhaps that had an affect on the players. A huge win, though, with a bit of luck for a change and two excellent finishes owing nothing to luck. WBA must be rueing their own finishing! <cheers>

I am very happy for this win. I asked for divine intervention and i think we got it. Both well taken goals but i think much of the infield play is best forgotten.
I would be happy if we have 22 points at the halfway stage, takes the pressure off the players a little, then maybe they will start playing football.
