Just the one for me today, sadly that Tingle Creek is the worst I can remember, so I'm more interested in the novice race, the Sandown 1.50. Tarquin du Seuil 7/2 Would have preferred softer going but he's clearly pacier than many thought when winning a sprint against Oscar Whisky the last day. Jumping is an asset in these races and I think he's very good in this department. Massive respect for Balder Succes and he's the main danger.

Aintree looks a pinsticker's race. Over in Navan the race between Felix Yonger and Trifolioum may well have more impact on the Arkle market than the Sandown novice race if we get a clear cut winner!

E/W Lucky 31 on my comp picks plus a win bet on Taquin Du Seuil (NAP)

1.00 Aintree Lieutenant Miller - Improved markedly on the flat this season and if he can transfer that to the winter game he could be chucked in here off 120. Lovely racing weight and should come on for his run at Cheltenham last time.

1.50 Sandown Taquin Du Seuil - I strongly fancy him for the Arkle, a big strapping chaser who is also very nimble and showed a nice turn of foot to outpoint Oscar Whiskey last time out.

2.05 Aintree Bostons Angel - A very interesting runner here on debut for the Pipe yard. Won the RSA in 2011 on good ground and although that wasn't the strongest renewal of the race he could be very well treated off 142 here. I'm sure they will have him primed for this as I think they will be trying to get a mark for the Grand National.

2.40 Aintree The Giant Bolster - Ought to have too much for this lot, he has been running in the best chases for the last couple of years and this looks alot easier.

3.15 Aintree Dunowen Point - cracking course form behind Hennessy winner Trio D'Alene in the Topham and can take this off the same mark.

Morning everybody.... a lot of good racing today... Last week i was very sweet on Katenko's chances in the Hennessy Gold Cup which didnt work out as he fell 8 fences from home. He's out quickly again and I take him to win the Aintree 2.40pm race. They've had some rain at Aintree which will help. 5/2 BPG. Win bet placed.

Sandown - Tingle Creek - Somersby. 10/3 BPG Large each way bet placed. Horse looks back to his best and whilst its a tough one to call between the top 3 in the betting I have taken a chance here. Each way taken in case of the place finish.

Aintree 2.05pm . Wyck Hill 14/1 and Swing Bill 16/1 BPG e/w 5 places. Think both have good chances.

Somersby coming back into his own and should be too good for the 2 novices today. Storm Survivor should go well in the Becher and Walkon has good course form, the Hutch on board and the run behind Triolo d'Alene looks pretty good now. At Sandown i will also be doing Hinterland, Waterunder and Court by Surprise and The Giant Bolster at Aintree . Good luck all

He bagged the 2 big races last weekend so the tide might be turning in Hendersons favour, so i am going to chance a few in a super yankee.

    Vaniteux 12:20 san
    Whisper 13:20 san
    River Maigue NAP 14:25 san
    Captain Conan 15:00 san
    Lieutenant Miller 13:00 Ain

    Begrudgingly passing over Grandouet.
Good luck all. Looks hard today.

There is so much quality around today, so many horses i quite fancy its hard to pick just a few.

1.50 Sandown - Taquin Du Seuil - Massive fan of the horse my only issue today is hes over the extended 2m, i think he will be Jewson bound but he clearly has a bit of pace so we shall see today. Grandouet's price is clearly down to his hurdle performances as he was pretty poor LTO on chase debut and never jumped fluently. Im most scared of Balder Success.

Tingle Creek - Sire De Grugy - Carried a massive weight in defeat to Kid Cassidy LTO when just bottoming out after jumping the last on the run. The horses jumping is normally a massive asset but wasnt too fluent at Cheltenham. Loves it at Sandown though, winning over C+D in a grade 2 here last season in open company whilst still a novice which is clearly his best form to date beating some very useful horses in the process. Gets his good ground also.

2.40 Aintree - Katenko - Handled good ground last week in the Hennessy when falling whilst travelling very well(if not best). Still think he is well in with some of the form his races have produced and fancy him to win today.

2.00 Chepstow - The Druids Nephew - Fell at the first LTO when well backed and hopefully be recouped today.

1.25 Chepstow - Pamplona Run - Harry Fry yard is firing them in at the moment, the horse has won twice over 3m in PTPs.

1.20 Sandown - Saphir Du Rheu - I seem to back him every week, up in trip again today. Was flying home last time out at 2m 3f after being blocked of a run about 3f out which hampered his momentum and this extra 3f should see another bold showing

Really like the chances of CAROLE'S DESTRIER in the opener at Chepstow 4/1

GITANE DU BERLAIS is a good bet at 2/1 in the 12.30 at Aintree as well imo. This was my early pick for the Triumph so was disappointed he was turned over on debut for Mullins but form looks good with Guitar Pete and I expect he has improved for the run.

I liked the effort of the Henderson horse in the first at Sandown, think he will make a lovely chaser.
