Former Tiger John Hawley will be hosting a live screening of Monday night's game against Swansea in The Dugout at the KC Stadium.

Free entry, prizes to be won and a free pie for the first 50 people through the doors, which open at 6.30pm.

As seems to be the norm with the football fixture compilers these days, one of Hull City’s longest trips of the season – to Cardiff City – has been scheduled for a Tuesday evening.

HCST are pleased to learn therefore that the club have taken the very sensible step of approaching the Football League for permission to beam the game back to the KC Stadium. It’s a move that will allow many more supporters access to the otherwise non-televised game and we congratulate the club on their initiative.

This isn’t the first “beamback” at the KC but it is the first one for a while. Fans may well recall gathering in the Airco Arena to watch the historic victory over Yeovil Town that sealed promotion in 2004 or in the stadium itself for the key victory at Tranmere Rovers a year later.

The Cardiff City game will be shown on Tuesday 15th September in the Kingston Suite at the KC Stadium with a 7:45pm kick off time. 350 tickets will be available, priced £5 for adults and £1 for U18, from Friday athttp://www.tigerleisure.com/

Fans can also purchase tickets from Friday through the new self-service ticket machine the club are trialling in the Tiger Leisure store at the stadium. This is another fine idea that will help make purchasing tickets at the stadium more convenient for supporters.

The club have announced that ex-Tigers Dean Windass and John Hawley will host the evening, the bar will be open and hot food and match programmes will be on sale.

This is a good opportunity for fans who would otherwise have been unable to see the game to follow The Tigers progress. Hopefully if it’s a success – and we sincerely hope the club are rewarded for their efforts – then it could be repeated for some other long-distance or popular trips.

    You have a point there.

He's NOT on the sauce at the moment, that could be the problem.
