What's the deal with 7 teams in pot 2 and nine in pot 4? Does one of them get moved as roseniorhisgranisfromhull suggests? Pot 4 is stupidly strong.
the pots initally are seeded teams, african/south earmican, asian/concon and europe Then i believe a team from pot 4 is moved into pot 2
There's some complicated draw system, to stop too many European teams being drawn together. Typical FIFA.
Oh yeah, didn't notice the continents theme. All seems a bit daft to me moving them about and sorting by continents. Just put them in four pots! Labelling that table as 'final draw pot allocations' when they still need moving about a bit is daft too. In fact why do we even need to see the half-finished version? Why have they even released such a pointless image?
I think we should be put into a plant pot. That way in 4 years we might grow into a good team, cause engerland have no ****ing chance.
There's some jiggery-pokery involved so that 3 European teams are not in the same group. Expect media over-hype overdrive after the draw.....
Christ, just been reading about how they put teams in each pot, talk about over complicating a sodding draw. Do we know which pots end up playing where yet? Roys already expressed some desire to not play in the tropical areas (where ever they are...), so do we want to avoid specific pots on that basis?
Think we'll get moved. In a group with Brazil /Argies. Portugal/Dutch and Iran. Short n sweet. Unless of course Woy sees sense and plays Curtis, Tom n Jake in which case we'll piss it.
I think that's less about the pots and more about which group you get drawn in, I was told group H avoids anywhere too hot
Best case scenario for my money: Switzerland, Ecuador, Honduras (or Australia). I'd also welcome getting Colombia from the seeded group. Worst case: Brazil, Holland (or Italy), USA.
I've been messing around with this world cup draw simulator http://ultra-zone.net/2014-FIFA-World-Cup-Group-Stage-Draws
