Heard it got caught up in the M1 delay for 4 hrs , then headed for Highbury (), then got lost, then hit a boulder or similar outside the Emiroids (swidt?), missed kick off. Anyone on here on that bus?
So the driver was right to head for Highbury and get lost then? Hitting a large boulder a normal occurrence? Should the passengers regard their trip as not too bad really?
I'd be interested to know when exactly that accident happened and where the coaches were at that time. Convinced we could all have avoided it in time. Would have been simple to get round or transfer across to the A1 if the traffic situation had been monitored.
That crash couldn't have happened in a better place to go round. 5 or 10 minute diversion if you come off a junction earlier than the highways agency would have you do. Shame for all the fans who were late or heavily disrupted. Bet Arsenal made a killing from the food vendors at emirates off people who ddnt get time to get munch.
Somebody said somewhere that it wasn't an accident at all in the end, but merely roadworks. I've no idea if that is true, but if it is then there's been a major communication/organisation breakdown.
You could. Off at 23 just outside Loughborough, down past bradgate park, into groby and back onto the m1 at 21a near glenfield. The problem is the diversion went down the a50 which is **** slow at rush hour as it is with traffic lights, speed cameras, roundabouts etc. imagine the carnage when the southbound m1 traffic joins the party.
Then there's the irony of paying for fans to travel to games, who then spend the game chanting against the person that paid for that travel.
