Well button was out the other day in full race gear doing a lights switch-on so probably they have a few more Vodaphone events to do before it ends. I bet the announcement will come alongside a new livery launch
Well, it's a good thing that Mclaren decided to delay the announcement, otherwise that could have been a close shave.

I find this concerning and not inline with F1: In terms of car performance, we are looking at loss of 10-15% downforce; as a rough estimate 10% is about a second a lap. They will also be 50 kilos heavier, which equates to approximately 1.5 seconds slower. So the cars might start the season about three to four seconds or so slower than last year. But once teams get their head around the front-wing changes some of that will be clawed back - more than a second during the season. But a lot depends on the tyres. Pirelli is concerned about the torque demands of the new engines and may well be conservative, which would raise lap times further.
If the rules weren't changed every so often, the cars would become too fast for the tracks again, and the drivers would find it too easy as the downforce would mean they just stick to the roads like glue. At least with a loss of downforce & increased overall power, there will hopefully be a skill element brought back into the driving again.
