Nowhere near mirrors the amount of points hes saved us in previous seasons. If you count last night and Doncaster, hes lost us 3 points.
Nugent is the main offender for point losses. You couldn't even count the number of chances he's missed on the hand of a Yorkshireman.
Nuge needs a kick up the arse. Drop him for Wood and make Nugent earn his way back in unless Wood doesnt take the chance
... ... on balance, I think Kasper has to take the slating ... it's no big deal ... but you can't polish a turd and call it a diamond
All players and teams miss chances,1 goal from 4 or 5 chances is the norm.Only seen goals on sky every week but wouldn't be happy if our keeper had let in as many savable goals as I've seen Kasper do this season.A lot more than 2 games but I admit I've not seen the saves he's made.
Why are some people so quick to slate players? 1 mistake or 1 bad game and everyone is all over them like a rash I dont blame Kasper at all for last night. Poor defending for the first and lazy defending for the 2nd
You don't see the saves he's making though. I think this is the weakest back four we've had in a while purely because there is so much imbalance. In my opinion, we should either be playing a flat back four or a back 3 with attacking fullbacks. De Laet Moore Morgan Wasilewski Schlupp or Moore Morgan Wasilewski Konchesky.
what about blackpool..? he didn't cover himself in glory against forest either IMHO.. look Im sure we are all happy to give praise when its warranted, and the players are happy to get it..but it should work both ways...pointing out issues is not slating... lately kasper is getting beaten too easily ..and shot stopping was his best asset...,
Do you think players should be accountable for their actions? Mistakes were made last night and we're discussing their severity on a messageboard designed to do so. If a player can't take criticism then they're in the wrong business in my opinion. Kasper should have done much better for the second and you could argue that he's lost us a point. Yes he's gained us many more points but why is he letting his standard slip. I bet you he thinks he should have done better and I bet he blames himself. I have no qualms in being beat by a side that is better than us. But Sheffield Wednesday are languishing down the bottom of the table and have been since their promotion. If we'd played even 10% as well as we did against Millwall we'd have won with consummate ease. So why didn't we? Complacency? Laziness? We should have done better last night but we didn't. It's up to the coaching staff, manager and players to make sure we don't make the same mistakes in the upcoming games, as they generally have done following defeats.
Some very good points - not sure why we are all getting prissy - Kasper makes some excellent saves but is also prone to the odd clanger and the ones you refer to are fair for criticism - Kasper is not immune - look what has happened to Joe Hart at Man City ... comes with the territory I'm afraid - Kasper's clangers will generally cost us a goal because he's a keeper ... the only time they won't become the 'subject of debate' is when we've banged in enough at the other end to have won irrespective ...
Im sure there was an inquest at training today....we are entitled to our inquest as well.......only jesus christ was alleged to beyond criticism... until I see players walk on water Im gonna stick my 2 penneth in ,
How often does it happen ? A team sacks it´s manager & goes & wins it´s next game / Leicester doing really well & then go a lose v a team near the bottom of the lge. I said to my dad we´d lose this one... was hoping to be wrong mind "BOLLOCKS TO IT, UTF"
I just think they were terrible as a whole, no point in singling out individuals, GK didnt save the ball, defenders didnt stop shots, midfield were below par (apart from Hammond aparently) and the strikers didnt get 30 shots, we were terrible from end to end apart from Knockys goal. On the positive, id rather us give points to lower league opposition than give it to close rivals ... i think ive grasped at all the straws now I do question why knocky was taken off when he could have got Mattock sent off early in the second half.
Just a bad day at the office, nothing more nothing less. We have a few more too along the way, but some City fans need to show more of a level head like Pearson. 1 bad result and its the end of the world in some folks eyes, yet when we are winning in goes terriibly quiet. Fickle comes to mind. Just giving my opinion as so many are quick to point out we are entitled to. Back to winning ways hopefully at Brighton, though not an easy task. PS; As for "we bottled it" WTF! get a grip, we are TOP OF THE LEAGUE!
Im not too bothered of the position the other team was in. This is the championship. Crazy results happen all the time. Watford just got spanked 3-0 by Yeovil and then went and held 2nd place to a 0-0 draw Over the last 2 games we got 3 points, QPR got 3 points. Both won 1 and lost 1 Burnley remained unbeaten but only got 2 points and fell behind. None of the chasing pack picked up many points. We told of the League so im not ripping into any player for anything. EVERY player who has pulled on a shirt for us this season has made good contributions.
I don't quite know how to make it clearer. Nobody is 'ripping' into anyone. Everybody is discussing where we went wrong last night and highlighting the mistakes the players made. Yes every player has made a good contribution this season, but last night was **** and unacceptable.
