He was complmentary because of how shocked he was. As I said earlier in the thread, he couldnt name a single player other than Deano before the Fulham game.

    Merson is an Arsenal man.

    What did people expect?

    I like Supergrass.

I'll just leave that comment open...

This is a tougher task than Liverpool, they are for the moment the best team in the BPL, have had a day extra to recover than us, I fear we will have some tired legs. If we can come out of the game with a draw or a close loss, then I think this will be the best we can hope for.

Pointless thread. Merson is an Arsenal boy, and we're playing away to top of the League. There's a lot more chance of him being right than him being wrong really isn't there.

With the form Arsenal are in, I can't imagine even the most optimistic of City fans expecting something from this game. We're all fairly confident of earning a hard-earned point, but if Arsenal are on their day and we fail to maintain the level of performance that we saw against Liverpool, then there's a massive chance they could easily bang four in against us. Southampton did it, why not Arsenal?

**I'm saying this despite predicting us to lose 3-1 to Liverpool! <laugh>

Davies is going to be a huge loss. Our best player so far this season in my opinion.

It's the best possible match he could miss though.

We are very unlikely to get anything, even if we had Davies in defence.

I'm happy as it means he won't be suspended for the Swansea, Stoke and West Brom games - arguably the most vital part of this season.

I'd say it was more a few sentences than a couple of paragraphs in all honesty...

Besides, it's just proving my point. If I'd have just put "Pointless thread", I'm pretty sure I would have got some rather questionable responses. I'll remember not to back up my claims in future, cheers <ok>

    Merson is very stupid.

    Supergrass were ace.

    Arsenal are better than Liverpool.

This one's at the Emirates, rather than the KC.

    Curtis Davies is missing.

Gawd, that 9th frame between Murphy and Hawkins took a long time.

Merson has always been a bit simple. Why else would he have wasted all his money years ago?

Agreed. I Should Coco is a great album. Caught By The Fuzz is cracking tune.

Definitely, Liverpool are a much different side to Arsenal. Arsenal outplayed them a few weeks ago.

At least this means we now have played most of the big teams away - Man City, Chelsea, Tottenham, Arsenal, Everton. Which is a very good thing, best to get them out of the way.

****, I forgot the snooker was on.

I completely agree re. Davies's suspension - it's the perfect game to miss. He'll be crucial v Swansea and Stoke.
