Guys, thanks for the feedback on the Xbox GB size. 20 or 60 it is then.

One last question; can you add GB to it afterwards?

I was pleasantly surprised with it. The combat isn't great...you'll do a lot of rather hilarious dodge-rolling in between spamming certain attacks, but the decision-making element is pretty novel. Some of the big choices with which you'll be presented only appear big in retrospect; there isn't any big, flashing Do This And It Will Proceed Forthwith. Really worth playing twice, because one snap decision utterly changes the way the remainder of the game plays out.

You can add external drives to it. But as with all Xbox's you can't put in a internal in it or it voids the warranty.

cheers Beefy. I've seen a 250GB for 169.00 +Fifa which seems good. Dan said 250GB too much, any pitfalls?

I have a 250GB and have used about 100 of it, but that's because I install a lot of my games to protect the discs and improve loading times where possible.

60, or if you can find it, 120GB should be plenty.

Nope, he will never use all that space up tho. Dan was just thinking of the cost for a 250gb. But £169 is a good deal.

From what I understand, the only pitfall from your perspective is that he can fit just about anything on it, which may result in him having more games over time than he might have otherwise. On the flip side, it'll significantly extend the effective life as games get larger, saving you from having to shell out for an external HDD down the road, and giving him less ammunition for the eventual proposal to upgrade to an XBox One.

No pitfalls, just figured that the smaller ones would be cheaper. The more the better, just added expense when it probably won't be necessary - if you're not worried and it's not a significant price difference, go for the bigger one!

I have a 120GB that I've had for 7 years which I gamed on extensively until about a year ago, and It's only just started pushing 110GB. Nothing wrong with extra space if the price differential is minimal but really I'd say there's no need for more than 20GB.

Cheers chaps. Having looked around a little this evening, seems 250GB is available easily and not so easy to find a 120 or 60. The price differential on the 250 with FIFA 14 is not too bad either at 169.00

also noticed that Tomb raider is available (oh those memories of my PS1 are coming back.... just noticed the wife shaking her head... oops)

Total joke, but it demonstrates the power of football as a sport. It also shows the long shadow that ManU casts.

EDIT: A few years back, the SPOTY was Ryan Giggs, and I found myself wondering what he had done that was so special to any other year, and that the other candidates had much better cases to win the top prize. Power of football again.

Utterly ridiculous. He's had what...one maybe two stand out games? Just makes me dislike Man Utd even more.

    David Healy retires from football.

Damn. Scorer of so many goals for us, against top class opposition too. Genuine NI legend, the kind of player we could do with right now :(
