I was so happy to discover we'd won & then seeing 2 of the goals on CNN just about made my day, unfortunately it was quickly spoiled by the follow up about the name change & what AA said, talk about taking the shine off something!
Finally saw the goal highlights on ESPN soccer pass, so **** AA & his comments, I'm happy beating them & looking forward to watching MOTD2 soon!
Happy Days, finally got the Scouse monkey off our backs!

Wasn't it CTWD's wish to have the issue in the public eye? After all that's why they chose to demonstrate during the game.

If you are annoyed that the media are picking up on the story then you might want to shift the blame.

That's not a valid response but thanks.

Did you or did you not want the name change issue to make noise? you can't possibly pretend you wanted this to be kept indoors. Numerous posters who suggested protesting before and after the game were told "what is the point if no one hears about it ?"

So my point is why are some complaining about the fact that it has now overshadowed what was one of our greatest wins and possibly the rest of the season?

You can't have it both ways. Both want your campaign to grow in stature and spread globally AND hope that the media DON'T paint a grim picture of the club and choose to focus on that rather than our football.
Sure some of the media is backing the fans , which is good for you but some will just focus on the fact that our club is a mess at the moment. I suppose it's only collateral damage to your cause.

Yesterdays game was overshadowed by the lunatic rantings of our chairman, not by any campaign.

heheh this is just like a political campaign. Poke a bear with a stick, then distance yourself from the damaging effects of it.

    Well played OLM... well played.

You can play the blame game all you want or "he started it" bullshit.

But CTWD now are intrinsically and equally involved in this matter and in my eyes responsible (just as much as AA) for any damage the club will incur.

There's no good guy or bad guy in this, no matter what you tell yourself. No one wins in a war.

What utter bunkum OLM, we beat Liverpool 3 = 1 that was the main story of the day. Nothing has overshadowed that result.

Oh well you've changed your tune! Watch out, Mr cat Ben will be trolling your posts to make some kind of point, I dunno what point... no one really understands him but I'm sure he's going through some rough patches so we should cut him some slack.

Same old arguments going round and round in circles.

    Everyone should just **** off.

We should be talking about Alex Bruce not repeating the same old ****e we've been saying and going over time and time and time again for the last month or two.

The result became the story, but the build-up was completely overshadowed by the comments.

We beat Liverpool, but this story will linger on.

Unfortunately, you can't just brush stupid comments like that under the carpet.

What came out of yesterday was "Hull City AFC" as we are, beating Liverpool for the first time in the league in 109 years. That around the world has more power than any name change would.

And just as importantly, here in East Yorkshire, the massive market we've yet to conquer.

Allam fled Egypt because he didn't like living under a repressive regime. That is exactly what he is doing to the majority of fans opposed to this one issue. He's a hypocrite.

    Spot on.

All those in China watching live seeing Hull City AFC making the 'mighty' Liverpool look ****e - doing things like that will get us noticed more than a name change.
