UN TEMPS POUR TOUT (IRE): 3 wins over jumps at 4, 2013 in France and £150,768 inc. Prix de Maisons-Laffitte Hurdle, Gr.3 by five lengths and Prix Le Guales de Mezaubran Hurdle, L. by 10 lengths and placed 6 times inc. 3rd Prix Renaud du Vivier Hurdle, Gr.1 behind Ptit Zig, Prix Gerald de Rochefort Hurdle, L. and Prix Melanos Hurdle, L. He is the 2nd highest rated 4yo over hurdles in France in 2013 and has been schooled over fences. Has had nine runs already winning three and being placed in the other six. Un Temps Pour Tout lit up the DBS Sales ring at Newbury racecourse when selling to David Pipe for £450,000. The son of Robin Des Champs won the Grade 3 Prix de Maisons-Laffitte before finishing third in the Grade 1 Prix Renaud du Vivier at Auteuil and Gearoid Costelloe made his first attempt to secure the four year old when opening the bidding at £200,000. The gelding was consigned by James Readâs Selwood Bloodstock and there was plenty of interest from many leading owners and trainers in attendance throughout the evening including Roger Brookhouse, Michael Buckley, John Hales, Nicky Henderson, Alan King, Simon Munir, Paul Nicholls, Jonjo OâNeill, Rich Ricci, Andy Stewart and many others but it was left to leading flat owner Malih Al Basti to play the role of under bidder as Pipe had the final say when bidding for a new partnership composing Bryan Drew and Professor Caroline Tisdall. It will be interesting to see what they do with him. Will he go for one of the hurdle races at Cheltenham or will Pipe look to take advantage of the WFA concessions and send him novice chasing? Either way he looks an exciting prospect.
Excuse my ignorance in this stick, but is the price unusually high for this type of horse, or is it the story of the trainers all after him that makes this an interesting selection...?? I think I can guess it is with such names on your post all showing an interest in him...!!!
