please log in to view this image Would anyone want him as our next manager? Done extremely well with Alloa but in the lower legaues of Scottish football so don't know if he could come to a struggling league 1 side and turn it around?....... please log in to view this image
do you think you will get a manager who is currently unemployed or get a manager from another club meaning paying out a compensation package etc?
Haven't we been here before getting a manager doing really well at a Scottish club, with a glowing reputation? And in fairness Shiny you hated him. Plus didn't Hartley state he was leaving us because his wife could not settle in Bristol and wanted to go back to Scotland? It's a no from me sorry. Answer to your question CJS no I can't see us paying compensation to another club, who would leave their club to come to us anyway? We only have 24 managers who would see us as a step up at the moment
'We only have 24 managers who would see us as a step up at the moment" And some of them would have to consider if they would be passing by us shortly anyway...
I'm talking about McInnes you twat, you know the one that got sacked in January! Do you thing Brendon Rogers might consider managing us? RR said we would be shocked at who would be interested.
No no Hartley was a trouble maker when here. We need a manager that wants to be here with passion, quality and the right attributes.
I can't see the Board taking another gamble on an "up & comer"........everything points to Cotterill as far as I can see. He would not be the worse choice. Warnock would also be a safe bet and his track record speaks for itself. A lot on here think he is a twat but it's only because he moans a lot when he thinks refs have done wrong by his teams....and quite frankly who wouldn't?
The official reason that Hartley left as a player was because he wanted to move back to Scotland to be with his family as when he was here as a player he was commuting back and forth as his family stated in Scotland so I cant see him wanting to take over us unless his family this time were on board. I wouldn't complain If we got him.
We need someone with passion combined with loads of experience. Paul Hartley would fit that bill and there was a time when I thought he showed great footballing ability but apparently he got homesick and would we want that in our new manager. Probably not so the search continues.
