Not looking forward to citeh game need to take 3 buses with us to park to keep score respectful ! I usually see some chance of getting something from any game but this time is the first in years that I think we are in the brown stuff due to injuries and not big enough squad especially with the euro games possiblymturning into a curse ! But the main thing this season again is survival in the prem which I think is well within capabilities . Still may stick a cheeky fiver on swans win tomoz must be great odds available
with us being a small squad of course we should have saved him until tomorrow, If you cant see the sense in that then there is something wrong with you...We are not man utd or city who have an abundance of choices...everyone who i was out with last night totally agreed so what you think is irrelevant to me..
The game against Man City is pretty much, a lost cause, the game against Valencia was not, as a draw would have been enough to rest the entire squad for the game against St Gallen. Lesser of 2 evils. It just didn't go to plan. The chance of getting a point against Valencia to save us from the last game, was a much bigger chance for us than picking up anything from the Etihad. And by the sounds of it, the guys you went out with are all those who enjoy hindsight. I actually feel we need pace against Man City up front, due to how deep we will most likely be throughout the game, and would be screaming for Michu to play, Bony I don't think would have been effective up front on his own. So maybe this will be a great chance to see if Vasquez can take advantage of Man City getting complacent with going forward.
We need to make use of the emergency transfer system and bring in a Striker ASAP, as otherwise we will be propping up the table within two or three games! FACT........................ PS: And Dai will be calling for Laudrups head!..................
Dai, your thoughts are considered irrelevant by most on this board, so I guess the feeling is mutual. Your arrogance is quite astounding at times. It's very easy to criticize after the fact, with the benefit of hindsight, and is probably why it is something you do so well. Bony was starting to play well, getting fitter, and building confidence. Dropping him for Valencia would have been a negative move in my opinion. The fact he's now injured in unfortunate, but this is football and people get hurt...in case you haven't noticed. Although it's possible you may have been blinded by your own brilliance. Michu will be back in a week or two, so this is not all doom and gloom. Vasquez and maybe Donnelly getting some game time may be a good thing. I've never considered Man City away a points opportunity, but we have nothing to lose and stranger things have happened. If either of those two help us get something out of the game, will you criticize Laudrup for not playing them sooner?...probably yes, cause that's just the way you are!
The game against Man City is pretty much, a lost cause, the game against Valencia was not, You see swanseola this is where you are wrong, We needed bony against man city to give us some sort of chance and now we don't have anyone good enough. Goal difference is our advantage at the moment and if we lose that then it puts us in a worst position. there is only 5 points separating a number of teams in the bottom half and if we should go on a losing streak then our goal advantage could possibly save us from the drop....Premiership without question should come first, Laudrup don't care he wants euro glory at any cost as he will be off at the end of the season anyway...jenkins will never renew his contract in a million years and if it was not the fact that we would have to pay him a couple of million jinks would have got rid months ago..
Dai even if Bony was fit to play against Man City I could hardly see him getting more than 1 goal so for this particular game I dont think we will miss him as much as we will for the Newcastle and Hull games.
I agree that Laudrup enjoys the European competitions, but I'm sure he realises the importance of the Premiership, and he did get us our best position ever last season, so cut him some slack Dai, and lets see what both he and Huw do in the Transfer window, I'm sure something will be going on, having Aloevera as our only Striker must be very worrying, will Donnelly move up to the 'bench'?....................
I understand now, so what you're saying is that with Bony playing he would have guaranteed us goals to keep the goal difference respectable ?
Waste of time reading this thread. Some posters in here an not genuine Swansea fans. Genuine Swansea fans are supporting the club, the manager and the players.
I disagree, barcastle. With the obvious exception of visiting fans',everyone else who contributes here are "Swansea fans". What sometimes differentiates them is their own take on happenings both on,and off,the pitch. Everyone has a point of view, and is free to air it,and toeing the party line is not a prerequisite of that privilege. To get an idea how this system works I recommend the excellent movie entitled "Twelve Angry Men". What a boring place this would be if everyone had the same point of view. Were that scenario ever to be enacted here,it really would be a "waste of time reading this,or any other, thread".
